What you'll do

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and promotional activities to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and production teams to align supply with demand and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
• Monitor inventory levels across various distribution centers and retail locations, making adjustments as necessary to meet changing customer needs.
• Analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute new product launches, ensuring that all supply chain aspects are addressed.
• Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance, negotiating contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and service levels.
• Utilize advanced planning software and tools to streamline processes and improve forecasting accuracy, ensuring data integrity throughout the supply chain.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on supply chain performance, highlighting key trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management, applying insights to improve HelloFresh's operations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management policies and procedures to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align promotional activities with supply chain capabilities, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
• Participate in cross-departmental projects aimed at enhancing the overall customer journey and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or inventory management, preferably in the food or consumer goods industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies is a plus.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational improvements.
• Previous experience in the meal kit or food delivery industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to food safety and supply chain operations.

Skills & tools

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing supply chain challenges.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
