As a Growth Engineer focused on our website, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the online experience that converts visitors into leads. This position involves not only managing our current website built on Webflow but also leading the transition to a custom, headless CMS-backed solution. You will be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of our site - from page load speed to SEO - is finely tuned to maximize conversion rates. Your work will directly impact our marketing efforts, making it a critical function within our team.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Take ownership of Halter's website, ensuring it effectively converts traffic into leads.
- Rapidly develop and deploy landing pages and components using Webflow, with plans to transition to a custom-built solution.
- Lead the migration project from Webflow to a headless CMS, ensuring a seamless transition that maintains SEO integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with marketing team members to enhance page experience, lead forms, and overall site speed.
- Implement and manage technical and on-page SEO strategies to ensure the site remains fast, crawlable, and ranks well in search engines.
- Design and execute A/B tests on key landing pages, analyzing results to inform future optimizations.
- Work closely with the Performance Marketing Lead to monitor conversion rates and lead quality metrics.
- Utilize AI tools to streamline page builds, generate components, and analyze test outcomes, enhancing efficiency in your workflow.
- Partner with other team members to create personalized landing experiences for targeted accounts as part of our Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategy.
- Continuously track and analyze user behavior through the conversion funnel, collaborating with the team to address any issues that arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in front-end engineering, growth engineering, web development, or a hybrid role that combines design and development.
- Proficiency in modern front-end technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with a strong understanding of component-driven development.
- Experience with headless CMS platforms and the ability to manage a website as a codebase rather than just a page builder.
- Demonstrated ability to execute a website migration, ensuring that SEO and performance metrics are not negatively impacted during the process.
- A data-driven mindset, capable of forming hypotheses, conducting clean tests, and interpreting results to drive informed decisions.
- Strong commitment to tracking the entire user journey and collaborating with team members to resolve issues throughout the conversion funnel.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a high-growth SaaS, hardware, or ag-tech company focusing on website conversion or growth engineering.
- Advanced skills in Webflow, including building entire pages, custom components, and interactions that extend beyond basic content management.
- Experience leading or executing a migration to a headless CMS such as Contentful, Sanity, or Storyblok using modern frameworks.
- Familiarity with structured experimentation programs and a consistent testing cadence.
- Knowledge of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and strategies for optimizing page performance.
