What you'll do

• Build reusable software components and produce technical documentation that clarifies complex systems for future developers.
• Engage in design and code reviews while collaborating across the engineering organization to share knowledge and elevate code quality.
• Partner with product, design, and backend teams to develop features for consumers and partners that align with strategic objectives.
• Track live application performance and refine both the codebase and user experience based on data-driven insights and feedback.
• Implement security-focused features within the mobile application to detect and prevent fraudulent behaviors and policy violations.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate security protocols and data validation mechanisms into the mobile client.
• Investigate and diagnose issues in production environments to ensure stability, security, and optimal application performance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows and best practices within the mobile engineering team.
• Support the rollout of new features and security updates by ensuring compatibility across targeted device configurations.
• Assist in the creation of test scenarios and validation procedures to verify the effectiveness of implemented security measures.

Requirements

• Ability to commit to an internship duration of 3 to 6 months, ensuring continuity and successful completion of assigned projects.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, or Information Technology from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android development, demonstrating a solid understanding of language features and best practices.
• Capability to design algorithms and organize data structures to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively.
• Practical mindset for resolving real-world technical challenges, balancing ideal solutions with constraints and timelines.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, lifecycle, and user interface components specific to the Android platform.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and experience working in a collaborative development environment.
