About the role

The Orchestration team at Grab is responsible for managing the automation and integration needs of the Grabber Technology Solutions. As a member of the DevOps unit, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and maintaining intricate workflow solutions utilizing integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) platforms. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the seamless operation of our systems and enhancing our service delivery.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement software solutions while adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
• Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing, while also participating in code review processes to ensure quality.
• Oversee the scheduling and execution of system modifications to minimize any potential operational disruptions.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, process guides, and specifications to facilitate internal knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Address and resolve production incidents and alerts, which may include participating in early morning shifts on a rotational basis.
• Perform root cause analysis on incidents to identify underlying issues and prevent future occurrences.
• Create scripts and automation tools aimed at decreasing the need for manual maintenance and monitoring tasks, thereby improving efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of various systems and processes.
• Engage in continuous learning and improvement initiatives to stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in orchestration and automation.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the Orchestration team.
• Provide support and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure, with a focus on orchestration, automation, and cloud computing environments.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a production support role, actively managing and resolving issues in live systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and experience working within agile development frameworks.
• Proficient in using incident tracking tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, or Freshservice for managing and documenting issues.
• Capability to write SQL queries and a solid understanding of data integration and transfer protocols.
• Knowledge of secure API integration practices and methodologies.
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, or ISO270001, along with access management standards including OAuth, SAML, RBAC, and ABAC.

Nice to have

• Experience with iPaaS tools such as Workato, TIBCO Business Works, Dell Boomi, Mulesoft, or N8N would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to enhance automation capabilities.
• Familiarity with cloud service providers and their orchestration tools.
