This role demands a proactive and meticulous professional who will validate material conformity before any fabrication begins, ensuring that only compliant stock progresses through the manufacturing line. You will exercise rigorous oversight on the shop floor, monitoring welding sequences and assembly operations to verify that every output aligns precisely with engineering drawings and contractual specifications. This position acts as the primary technical safeguard, preventing non-conformities by conducting meticulous dimensional checks on individual components, sub-assemblies, and finished weldments. The inspecteur will intervene at critical control points to optimize production flow while maintaining strict adherence to design tolerances and quality standards. You will immediately flag any deviations, document them with precision, and collaborate with production teams to initiate swift and effective corrective actions. A significant portion of the role involves coaching line operators on best practices and quality expectations to foster a culture of collective responsibility. What you'll do

• Interpret detailed scope requirements and translate them into actionable inspection plans for the shop floor team.
• Perform rigorous practical checks on all stages of the manufacturing process, from initial material receipt to final assembly.
• Verify compliance with scope Requirements using established protocols and technical documentation.
• Execute precise dimensional inspections on raw materials, semi-finished parts, and final products to ensure adherence to tolerances.
• Supervise production operations to confirm that workflows meet the standards set by design specifications and purchase orders.
• Conduct thorough examinations of welds, joints, and structural assemblies using appropriate measuring tools and techniques.
• Immediately identify and report any inconsistencies or defects, initiating documentation for traceability and continuous improvement.
• Liaise closely with production supervisors and engineering staff to resolve quality issues and implement sustainable corrective measures.
• Educate and guide personnel on quality procedures, fostering a proactive approach to compliance and standards adherence.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all inspections, non-conformities, and verification outcomes for management review.
• Support the implementation of process improvements based on inspection data and operational feedback.
• Ensure that all quality metrics are met within the established timelines, balancing efficiency with uncompromising accuracy.
• Act as a technical resource for the shop floor, providing guidance on interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• Hold a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment focused on welded structures or structural assembly.
• Possess a diploma in welding, machining, or a closely related technical field.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of metal structure fabrication processes and mechano-soldered assembly techniques.
• Show mastery of welding symbols to accurately interpret plans and verify complete compliance with technical specifications.
• Exhibit the ability to read, understand, and interpret complex technical drawings with precision.
• Apply a high level of personal rigor, working autonomously with a keen sense of observation and exceptional attention to detail.
• Prove a track record of reliability and methodological approach in managing inspection workflows independently.
• Maintain strict adherence to deadlines and quality benchmarks without sacrificing accuracy.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with cross-functional teams at all organizational levels.

This position operates on a full-time permanent basis with a fixed schedule from Monday to Friday.
