About the role
Artopex represents a distinguished chapter in Canadian industrial history, marking over forty-five years of dedicated craft. For generations, our focus has remained the conception and fabrication of superior office furniture, all realized within the province of Quebec. We stand as a recognized leader in our sector, driven by innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. These principles guide our mission to create inspiring work environments across the North American continent. Our achievements are rooted in the talent and dedication of our people; we cultivate a human, collaborative, and motivating atmosphere where every individual can grow, learn, and contribute to our shared success. This specific role operates within that legacy, joining a team committed to translating that vision into reality for clients throughout the region.
What you'll do
Your primary responsibility is to serve as the primary architect of the client vision for workspace solutions. You will design responsive plans through continuous collaboration with stakeholders at every level. Each day requires you to shape project direction while upholding stringent quality standards. You will own the complete project lifecycle, from the initial point of contact to the final delivery milestone. Your work ensures that each initiative meets the strategic goals of the client and the operational standards of Artopex.
Key tasks include mapping intake information for upcoming projects with precision, capturing every requirement accurately. You will build structural frameworks capable of supporting innovative design concepts without compromise. A critical component involves reviewing all technical specifications to confirm absolute alignment with explicit client requirements. Logistics form a major part of the role, including the coordination of material resources while monitoring inventory levels closely. You will optimize layout configurations to maximize the efficient use of available floor space. The role further extends to the shipping of finished solutions, ensuring they arrive on schedule. Finally, you will verify installation steps to guarantee proper function and ultimate user satisfaction, partnering with production teams to refine capabilities for the future. You will maintain detailed records of every interaction to ensure traceability and accountability. Furthermore, you will anticipate potential roadblocks and develop contingency plans to keep projects moving forward seamlessly.
The tools utilized for this role include standard Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements
To excel in this position, you must hold a minimum of three years of relevant field experience in a comparable client-facing or project management capacity. Strong spatial reasoning is essential, as it allows you to interpret complex design instructions effectively and translate them into physical layouts. Clear communication skills are necessary for detailed discussions with a diverse range of contacts, including clients, vendors, and team members. Reliable transportation is required to ensure consistent attendance at all scheduled meetings and on-site visits. Proficiency in digital tools is mandatory to support accurate documentation, reporting, and the management of project data. A deep understanding of measurement principles ensures the precise execution of every plan, leaving no room for error. You must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of attention to detail. A commitment to adhering strictly to established protocols and safety guidelines is non-negotiable for success in this role.
While not mandatory, experience within manufacturing or production environments is highly valued. This background provides insight into the realities of production constraints and capabilities, allowing for more realistic planning and client expectations. Understanding the nuances of the furniture manufacturing process will give you a distinct advantage in managing timelines and deliverables. Familiarity with industry-specific software or tools could prove beneficial, though training will be provided for systems specific to Artopex.
The position is located in Sherbrooke, Quebec. It is offered as a permanent, part-time role. The compensation package ranges from $33,000 to $43,000 annually, reflecting the expertise and responsibility of the role. This range is determined based on the scope of responsibilities and the level of expertise required to execute the duties effectively. Before proceeding, you are asked to ensure the most current information is reviewed.
