What you'll do

• Work closely with the Security Operations Manager to uphold a security posture that is informed by data analytics.
• Continuously monitor and scrutinize logs from various sources, including SIEM, EDR, DLP, and email systems, to identify any irregularities.
• Carry out daily operational tasks related to security to ensure the integrity of our systems.
• Provide expert technical assistance during incident response efforts during regular business hours, with the possibility of being on call outside of these hours when necessary.
• Develop and refine monitoring use cases to enhance our detection capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Document security incidents and responses to improve future operations and compliance.
• Participate in regular security drills and training to stay updated on best practices and emerging threats.
• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new security tools and technologies.
• Prepare reports on security metrics and incidents for management review.
• Engage in continuous learning to keep up with industry trends and advancements in security technologies.
• Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization by providing training and resources to other teams.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in security operations or incident response roles, showcasing your ability to handle real-world security challenges.
• Proficient in utilizing SIEM tools for the creation of effective monitoring use cases.
• Skilled in scripting languages to automate repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with EDR solutions and email analysis tools, demonstrating your capability to analyze security incidents effectively.
• A solid understanding of fundamental information security principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud security practices and tools, particularly in relation to payment systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, or similar.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and their application in security operations.
• Certifications in security-related fields, such as CISSP, CEH, or similar, would be advantageous.

• Proficient in using SIEM platforms for log management and analysis.
• Experienced with EDR solutions for endpoint security monitoring and response.
• Knowledgeable in DLP tools to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access.
• Skilled in email security analysis to detect phishing and other email-based threats.
• Capable of scripting for automation to streamline security operations and reporting.

• Initial compensation is generally set between the lower and mid-range of the salary scale, with potential adjustments based on individual performance, experience, and internal equity.
