Lead Account Manager
Job description
About the role
This role manages a defined book of existing US seller accounts while actively elevating the team around them without waiting for direction in either dimension. The hire drives proactive supply growth and data-driven prioritization with commercial thinking from day one on the account side. On the team side, they lead KPI reviews, serve as the go-to resource for ideas, and coach Account Managers through problems. The AI angle is genuine, seeking someone already exploring these tools, forming opinions about their capabilities, and bringing that curiosity to the team. This person presents regular, data-driven business reviews that are commercially compelling rather than merely informational.
Key facts
What you'll do
1. Own and grow a defined book of existing US seller accounts focusing on supply health, GMV growth, and relationship quality.
2. Proactively identify supply gaps on accounts and arrive at the Director with a plan rather than a flag.
3. Assess each account's full potential by determining what they have that is needed and what makes GOAT their preferred listing platform.
4. Present regular, data-driven business reviews to accounts that are commercially compelling and not just informational.
5. Act as the go-to resource for the regional AM team by sharing ideas, market intelligence, and helping teammates move from insight to action.
6. Lead weekly KPI reviews for your account set autonomously, pulling the numbers, drawing your own conclusions, and bringing a formulated plan to the Director.
7. Contribute actively to team-level reviews by bringing original thinking on what is working, what is not, and where the team should focus efforts.
8. Coach AMs through 1:1s to help them develop commercial instincts, sharpen their data usage, and hold their accounts to supply outcomes.
9. Lead execution of seller initiatives and team projects from proposal through to measurement and learning.
10. Continuously monitor market dynamics including what is selling on other platforms, which brands and categories are gaining momentum, and where GOAT has supply gaps relative to demand or other platforms.
11. Translate market signals into commercial action so that when something is trending externally, accounts and the team move on it rather than reading about it after the fact.
12. Feed regional intelligence into the Director and the strategy team on a consistent and defined cadence to support decision making.
13. Actively use AI tools in day-to-day work for outreach, account performance summaries, market research, and workflow automation to increase efficiency.
14. Bring genuine curiosity by exploring new tools, testing what works, and sharing findings with the team to drive collective improvement.
15. Serve as a practical reference point for AI usage across the AM team, not only the primary prompt writer or tool expert.
