Global X is seeking an AVP, Research Analyst to strengthen the Research Team, concentrating on energy and commodities exchange-traded funds. In this capacity, you will own the creation of client-facing research, assist in product innovation, and convey market perspectives to clients, potential clients, media, and internal partners. Your coverage will include strategies related to master limited partnerships (MLPs), uranium, liquefied natural gas (LNG), precious metals, and other commodity-focused investment approaches.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain research within the Global X research repository, producing written analyses, visual presentations, graphical charts, and video content for client consumption.
• Track commodity markets and macroeconomic trends to generate timely commentary and market briefs.
• Translate commodity market foundations, futures market mechanics, and ETF execution into clear, practical explanations.
• Create educational resources that explore ETF architecture, index methodologies, portfolio assembly, and competitive positioning.
• Lead research initiatives that evaluate existing ETFs and inform prospective product concepts.
• Coordinate with Product, Capital Markets, Investment Strategy, and Sales teams to refine product positioning and market analysis.
• Address inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders concerning ETF methodology, performance drivers, commodity fundamentals, and market changes.
• Present research outcomes through webinars, client engagements, industry conferences, podcasts, and media appearances.
• Provide support for strategic projects across the Research organization as required.

Required Expertise

• Demonstrated knowledge of energy and commodity markets, including supply and demand balances, futures markets, and commodity investment strategies.
• Familiarity with ETFs, index design, and portfolio implementation practices.
• Exceptional writing, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Strong analytical capacity to convert complex subjects into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Bloomberg, FactSet, or comparable market data systems.
• Excellent project management skills with the capacity to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a cooperative working style.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of professional experience in asset management, sell-side research, commodities research, portfolio management, sales and trading, investment banking, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience covering energy or commodity markets is strongly preferred.
• Series 7 and 63 licenses are required.
• CFA designation or ongoing CFA candidacy is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation Information

The base salary range for this position is $163,000 to $173,000, with an annual performance bonus.
