About the role
Global X Management Company LLC is seeking an AVP, Research Operations to join the Research Team in New York, NY. This position plays a crucial role in managing the operational infrastructure that enables the Research Team to produce and distribute high-quality research content efficiently and consistently. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing publication processes, operational workflows, and project management activities, serving as the primary liaison with Compliance, Legal, and other internal partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple priorities simultaneously while continuously improving systems that support the team's work. Key facts
What you'll do
- Own and oversee the operational infrastructure supporting the Research Team, including managing publication workflows, calendars, documentation, and operating procedures to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Manage the end-to-end publication process for research content, coordinating closely with Compliance and internal stakeholders to ensure research deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Provide operational quality control across the entire publication lifecycle, proactively identifying and resolving issues before research outputs move to subsequent stages.
- Maintain and update research resources, templates, trackers, and reference materials, ensuring all information remains accurate, current, and easily accessible for team members.
- Serve as the primary operational liaison between the Research Team and other internal departments such as Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and IT, facilitating communication and collaboration to support research activities.
- Oversee the Research Team's website presence and internal content repositories, ensuring content is up-to-date, well-organized, and aligned with firm standards.
- Track research production metrics, readership data, and team performance indicators, producing recurring reports to support strategic decision-making and business objectives.
- Lead operational projects aimed at streamlining workflows, increasing efficiency, and supporting the team's continued growth, including process automation and system enhancements.
- Develop, implement, and refine processes that improve consistency, scalability, and execution quality across the Research Team's activities.
- Collaborate with team members to identify pain points in current workflows and propose solutions to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members regarding operational procedures and content management systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to research publication and distribution, working closely with Legal and Compliance teams.
- Manage the publication calendar to coordinate research releases, updates, and internal communications efficiently.
- Assist in managing the Research Team's website and internal content resources, ensuring content accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with branding standards.
- Support the development of operational best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the research operations function.
- Maintain documentation of processes, workflows, and operational procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align research operations with broader firm initiatives and strategic goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, project management, or business management, preferably within financial services or a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional workflows involving multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines.
- Proven ability to maintain accuracy, consistency, and sound operational judgment across complex, deadline-driven work environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience in process improvement, workflow optimization, and implementing operational best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with project management, collaboration, and content management tools such as Asana, Adobe Acrobat, or similar platforms.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory considerations relevant to research publication is a plus.
