What you'll do

• Lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage across our software products.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define testing requirements and establish best practices for quality assurance.
• Mentor and guide a team of testers, providing support and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to the development team, helping to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of testing tools and utilities that enhance the testing process.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in testing and software development, integrating new methodologies into our processes as appropriate.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills of team members and promote a deeper understanding of testing principles and practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Drive initiatives to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging metrics and analytics to measure success and identify opportunities for enhancement.
• Engage in troubleshooting and debugging efforts to resolve issues identified during testing, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Act as a key point of contact for all testing-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation and quality assurance practices.
• Proven experience in leading testing teams and managing testing processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, with a solid understanding of software development principles.
• Extensive experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and approach challenges creatively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.
• A solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices in software testing.
• Experience with performance testing and security testing is a plus.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and tools, such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with mobile application testing and tools specific to mobile platforms.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is advantageous.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams in a remote or hybrid work environment.
