About the role

General Matter is enriching uranium in America with a mission to restore domestic nuclear fuel production for AI, advanced manufacturing, and critical industries. The role owns the development and maintenance of fully logic-driven CPM schedules in Oracle Primavera P6 for large-scale enrichment facilities. You will drive integrated project schedules that connect design, procurement, construction, and regulatory milestones to maintain a clear view of the critical path. The hire will lead schedule risk assessments, conduct site visits, and synthesize complex schedule data into concise updates for leadership. You will standardize scheduling systems and benchmarks to ensure consistency across all project phases. This position operates within a mission-driven culture of urgency, accountability, and transparency. Ultimately, the Scheduler will enable national ambitions by helping make clean nuclear energy the most affordable baseload power source.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain fully logic-driven Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules in Oracle Primavera P6, performing critical-path analysis, forecasting, and what-if scenario studies for leadership review.
• Integrate design, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and non-construction milestones such as regulatory, licensing, and permitting requirements into a single coherent schedule.
• Own the Basis of Schedule, scheduling standards, systems, templates, and activity coding to standardize durations and ensure consistency across multi-project environments.
• Lead schedule risk assessment and mitigation planning whenever delays or emerging risks are identified, developing contingency strategies as needed.
• Perform quality reviews of schedules produced by onsite and field schedulers, ensuring they roll up cleanly into the integrated plan and tracking schedule performance with project controls and finance teams.
• Conduct periodic site visits to validate progress and contractor performance against the schedule, providing schedule inputs for planning, contract negotiations, and executive reporting.
• Collaborate across engineering, construction, procurement, regulatory affairs, and program management to align timelines and resolve interface issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation of schedule assumptions, logic, and constraints to support audits, updates, and knowledge transfer.
• Support the development of schedule models for new projects by translating requirements into a structured work breakdown structure and activity network.
• Drive the use of scheduling best practices across the organization by mentoring other schedulers and promoting standards adoption.
• Analyze schedule performance metrics and trends to identify deviations and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate with cost, reliability, and safety teams to ensure schedule decisions reflect integrated project objectives.
• Prepare executive-facing schedule reports, dashboards, and visualizations that clearly communicate status, forecasts, and key decisions.
• Participate in cross-functional planning sessions and progress meetings, directing both internal and external scheduling resources as required.
• Ensure all schedule deliverables meet contractual milestones and regulatory expectations for nuclear fuel infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on expertise with the Critical Path Method (CPM), building and maintaining fully logic-driven schedules from scratch, including WBS setup, calendars, activity coding, resource loading, and leveling for large, multi-billion-dollar facilities.
• At least 12 years of planning and scheduling experience on large-scale EPC or industrial capital projects in sectors such as energy, mining, or heavy industry.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, including the ability to manage complex dependencies, calendars, and resource allocations.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction methods and techniques across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining integrated schedules across multiple interdependent workstreams with concurrent activities.
• Strong ability to lead planning and progress meetings across functions, disciplines, and trades, and to direct both internal and external scheduling resources.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to translate dense schedule data into clear, concise updates for stakeholders and leadership.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to meet project timelines and respond to critical issues.

Nice to have

• Experience in fast-paced engineering or highly technical environments, delivering under tight timelines or budget constraints.
• Familiarity with integrating regulatory, licensing, and permitting milestones into detailed project schedules.
• Background on mega-projects such as nuclear, power, or other mission-critical facilities; data-center or high-tech infrastructure experience is also a plus.
• Hands-on experience with construction software such as Aconex, Oracle Unifier, Bluebeam, and CAD tools.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for complex analysis and reporting.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PSP (AACE) are preferred but not required.
