What you'll do
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams within Galaxy to deliver impactful results across various business lines, including trading, investment banking, asset management, staking, self-custody, and tokenization.
- Partner with business units to identify challenges and oversee the execution of initiatives related to business expansion, regulatory changes, and technological upgrades.
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed project plans, specifications, and deliverables, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.
- Lead the entire project lifecycle from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, applying structured project management methodologies to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Analyze the regulatory landscape, including U.S. agencies such as the SEC, CFTC, and OCC, to evaluate potential impacts on Galaxy's operations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage delivery of regulatory change initiatives by coordinating efforts among finance, compliance, risk management, and technology departments.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and refine project management practices within the organization.
- Maintain transparent and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Lead high-priority and complex projects that are essential to Galaxy's strategic growth and technological innovation.
- Advocate for the thoughtful integration of artificial intelligence tools to enhance team productivity, decision-making, and overall business results.
- Leverage AI technologies such as generative AI and automation platforms to optimize daily operations, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy and speed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by encouraging teams to adopt new tools and methodologies that align with Galaxy's mission.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, business units, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Monitor project performance metrics and KPIs to assess progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Support the onboarding and training of team members on new processes, tools, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans and roadmaps for future projects and initiatives aligned with Galaxy's long-term vision.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, maintaining high levels of compliance and integrity.
- Participate in industry events and stay updated on emerging trends in blockchain, AI, and data center infrastructure to inform project strategies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory change, project or product management, business development, or management consulting, preferably within financial services, fintech, or blockchain industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of project management practices, methodologies, and tools such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, capable of working independently and navigating ambiguity with confidence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Deep interest in cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and the evolving landscape of digital assets.
- Experience working with stakeholders across various functions, including finance, compliance, risk, and technology, to achieve shared objectives.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory frameworks, including SEC, CFTC, and OCC regulations, and their implications for digital asset businesses.
