What you'll do

• Analyze and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for system enhancements and new implementations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement system solutions that align with business objectives.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of system changes, ensuring that they meet the specified requirements and function as intended.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system architecture, process flows, and user manuals, to support ongoing system management and user training.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users, helping them navigate system functionalities and resolve any issues they may encounter.
• Participate in project planning and management, contributing to timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessment to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements and innovations that can enhance system capabilities and performance.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for team members and end-users, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners to integrate third-party solutions and services, ensuring seamless interoperability with existing systems.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, summarizing system performance metrics, project status, and recommendations for future enhancements.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system functionality.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in system analysis or a related field, preferably within the financial services or trading industry.
• Proven expertise in business process modeling, requirements gathering, and functional specification development.
• Strong understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and project management principles.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with experience in SQL and data visualization software being highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of trading systems and financial markets will be considered an advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience with system integration and API development.
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and services, such as AWS or Azure.
• Certification in business analysis or project management (e.g., CBAP, PMP) is a plus.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
• Experience with database management systems and data modeling tools.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java is beneficial.
• Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles and tools.
