Director, Data Platform
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end architecture of Foodsmart's data platform, ensuring it meets the demands of a rapidly scaling, compliance-heavy business. You will define and enforce the standards that allow our analytics and AI systems to operate with consistency, reliability, and clarity. This role requires you to balance deep technical execution with strategic influence across executive, clinical, and partner stakeholders. You will design the pathways through which data flows from raw ingestion to trusted insights, enabling every team to make faster, evidence-based decisions. You will be responsible for the reliability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure that powers our 2.2 million member ecosystem. You will lead a distributed team of data engineers, elevating their work through mentorship, rigorous design reviews, and a clear architectural vision. You will act as a critical bridge between data product teams and the platform, ensuring that downstream analytics are built on a stable and well-governed foundation. Your decisions will directly impact how our organization measures health outcomes, fulfills regulatory obligations, and delivers value to members and partners.
