About the role
In this pivotal position, you will act as a trusted legal partner embedded directly within the business operations of Flow. You will own the end-to-end management of commercial contracts, ensuring that each agreement aligns precisely with our strategic objectives and risk appetite. You will take ownership of real estate transactions, guiding each deal from initial negotiation through to closing with meticulous attention to compliance. You will serve as a pragmatic and solutions-oriented advisor, translating complex legal concepts into clear business recommendations for non-legal stakeholders. You will drive the development and implementation of legal frameworks that standardize our processes across our diverse portfolio of condominiums, hotels, multifamily residences, and office spaces. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including revenue, operations, and community management, to unblock initiatives and support scalable growth. You will own operational legal issues within our communities, providing timely support and ensuring that all resident and business interactions remain secure and lawful. You will contribute to building a cohesive legal function that embodies our mission of oneness and reinforces a culture of transparency, trust, and human-centered decision-making.

What you'll do
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, identifying key risks and proposing practical business solutions that protect the company while enabling deal momentum.
Lead the due diligence, negotiation, and closing of real estate transactions, ensuring all documentation is accurate, enforceable, and aligned with Flow's community development strategies.
Develop, implement, and maintain legal templates and playbooks that standardize contracting processes across all Flow communities and operational platforms.
Partner with revenue and operations teams to design contract structures that support flexible membership models, hospitality services, and commercial offerings.
Advise on corporate governance matters, including entity management, organizational structure, and corporate minute maintenance for Flow entities.
Coordinate with external counsel and service providers to manage litigation, regulatory matters, and title issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Interpret and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws impacting real estate, hospitality, and residential community operations.
Support the development and rollout of community policies and resident agreements that balance legal compliance with the Flow experience.
Perform regular legal risk assessments and report findings to internal stakeholders, highlighting areas for mitigation and process improvement.
Act as a day-to-day legal resource for community managers and business leaders, providing clear guidance on contractual and regulatory questions.
Drive the adoption of legal technology and automation to improve document management, contract lifecycle, and internal efficiency.
Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to evaluate vendor agreements and ensure that Flow's commercial relationships are secure and scalable.
Lead training sessions and workshops for non-legal teams, building a shared understanding of key legal concepts and best practices.
Contribute to the strategic planning of the legal function, helping to define priorities, timelines, and resource needs in support of company growth.
Requirements
You must be a licensed attorney in good standing in one or more U.S. jurisdictions with a current and valid bar admission.
You must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
You must have at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience in commercial law, real estate, or a related field.
You must demonstrate substantial experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and real estate contracts.
You must have a proven track record of working autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growth-stage environment.
You must be comfortable operating with limited supervision and taking initiative to identify and solve legal issues before they escalate.
You must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills, with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to convey legal concepts clearly to non-legal audiences.
Nice to have
Experience in the hospitality, real estate, or residential community management sectors is preferred.
Familiarity with property management software, leasing platforms, and community management systems is a plus.
Experience supporting multi-jurisdictional real estate structures or membership-based businesses is valued.
Knowledge of property law, landlord-tenant law, and regulatory compliance specific to residential communities is preferred.
Experience with contract lifecycle management tools and legal technology platforms is a bonus.
Practical notes
This role is based in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, and requires availability during standard business hours.
Occasional travel between Flow properties and offices may be required to support communities and meet with stakeholders.
