About the role
The Senior Director of Strategic Finance at Flow serves as the primary financial strategist and business partner for the company's Flag Business, which constitutes the core Property Management platform. This role owns the development and oversight of financial models, strategic analyses, and data-driven decision frameworks that directly influence the operational and commercial trajectory of the business. You will be responsible for embedding yourself within the Property Management organization to act as the definitive voice of financial clarity, ensuring all initiatives align with the overarching mission of oneness and human-centered community building. The position requires a high level of intellectual curiosity and quantitative excellence, enabling you to dissect complex operational challenges and translate them into actionable financial narratives. You will work in close partnership with the Business Lead of Flag Business, providing counsel that shapes profitability, scalability, and sustainable growth for Flow's largest operating entity. What you'll do
Develop and own the end-to-end financial strategy for the Flag Business, creating dynamic models that forecast performance, assess risk, and identify key growth levers across the property management ecosystem.
Champion data-driven decision making by establishing robust analytics frameworks that measure operational efficiency, resident experience, and financial health, utilizing AI and automation to uncover actionable insights.
Act as the primary financial advisor to the Business Lead, translating complex operational metrics into clear narratives that inform strategic pivots, resource allocation, and long-term planning for the business.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes with precision, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while incorporating variables such as market dynamics, regulatory changes, and technological adoption.
Design and implement performance dashboards that provide real-time visibility into key financial and operational indicators, enabling proactive management and continuous improvement.
Partner cross-functionally with technology, operations, and resident experience teams to evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives, ensuring investments drive scalable value and reinforce the Flow community vision.
Drive profitability analysis by dissecting revenue streams and cost structures, identifying optimization opportunities that enhance margins without compromising the human-centric ethos of the brand.
Spearhead special projects related to mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships, conducting rigorous due diligence and integration planning to protect and enhance shareholder value.
Establish governance frameworks for financial reporting and compliance within the property management division, ensuring transparency and accountability across all operational activities.
Foster a culture of financial literacy and accountability within the team, coaching stakeholders on data interpretation and strategic financial thinking to elevate organizational capability.
Conduct scenario planning and stress testing to evaluate the financial resilience of the business under various market conditions, informing contingency strategies and risk mitigation efforts.
Serve as the bridge between the operational world of property management and the strategic priorities of the executive team, ensuring that financial considerations are integral to every major decision.

Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field, with a demonstrated ability to apply financial principles to complex business problems.
Bring a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong track record in strategic planning, business partnering, and financial analysis within a high-growth environment.
Showcase expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and advanced data analysis, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and modern business intelligence platforms.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of property management, real estate operations, or a related asset class, with prior exposure to technology-driven operational transformations being highly relevant.
Exhibit mastery of GAAP and financial reporting principles, ensuring all financial statements and analyses adhere to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Possess exceptional communication skills, capable of distilling intricate financial concepts into accessible insights for both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
