What you'll do
- Facilitate the matching, booking, and settlement reconciliation of trades to ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
- Manage the onboarding process for counterparties and cultivate strong operational relationships with them.
- Monitor and track outstanding OTC settlements to ensure timely processing.
- Perform real-time and T+1 reconciliations to maintain accurate trading records and positions.
- Produce detailed reports on trades and transactions to support operational transparency.
- Compile and analyze statistics related to market-making obligations for internal reporting.
- Reconcile positions, profit and loss statements, and associated costs to ensure financial integrity.
- Assume responsibility for critical data management and conduct thorough verification checks for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop innovative operational tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
- Define data requirements for both existing operations and new business initiatives to support growth.
- Collaborate closely with teams in Trading, Business Development, IT, and Compliance to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Engage in projects that aim to improve interdepartmental collaboration and support global business strategies.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in Financial Operations is required.
- Familiarity with Digital Assets is a plus and will be considered advantageous.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is essential.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL is necessary, with either working or advanced knowledge preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration.
- A keen eye for detail is needed, particularly in identifying and resolving underlying issues.
- Ability to work autonomously while adhering to established company policies and procedures.
- A demonstrated history of implementing scalable process improvements is highly valued.
- Strong analytical capabilities are required to assess complex situations quickly, especially under pressure.
- A genuine interest in financial markets and trading is essential for success in this role.
- Self-motivation and a proactive, adaptable approach are critical traits for candidates.
- SIE certification is mandatory; Series 7 certification is preferred but not required.

In compliance with New York City salary transparency regulations, the total compensation for the Middle Office Operations Analyst position ranges from $85,000 to $130,000, along with the potential for annual discretionary variable remuneration.
