About the role
Five9 is seeking a dedicated professional to join our engineering organization in Porto. You will focus on validating the scalability and stability of our cloud contact center solutions to ensure high-quality service for our global users. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end performance validation lifecycle for critical customer-facing features. You will act as the primary authority on how the platform behaves when subjected to real-world traffic patterns and peak demand scenarios. Your work will ensure that new releases meet stringent service-level objectives before they reach production environments. You will translate ambiguous business requirements into concrete performance validation strategies and test cases. You will own the design of experiments that simulate complex user journeys across distributed cloud services. Your analysis will directly influence architectural decisions and infrastructure investment priorities for the engineering team.

- Identify system bottlenecks and provide actionable data to development teams.
- Monitor application behavior under various load conditions to ensure reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to define performance benchmarks and success criteria.
- Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks to support continuous integration pipelines.
- Develop detailed reports that visualize performance trends and highlight areas of risk.
- Conduct proactive stress testing to determine the breaking points of critical services.

- Create reusable test scripts that accurately mimic the behavior of thousands of virtual users.
