What you'll do
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and establish clear objectives.
- Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance on technical challenges and career development.
- Implement best practices in software development, including Agile methodologies, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Drive the technical vision and architecture of our software products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Manage resource allocation and project timelines, balancing team workload and priorities effectively.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the team's work.
- Facilitate communication between engineering and other departments to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in leading Agile teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.

- Experience in the financial technology sector or working with banking systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and security standards in software development.
- Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning concepts.
- Previous experience in scaling engineering teams and processes in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & tools
- Proficient in software development tools such as Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or CircleCI.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with performance monitoring tools.
