About the role
Fin is actively seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join its corporate IT team and take ownership of critical infrastructure initiatives that directly support the business. The role focuses on strengthening identity and access management, email deliverability, and compliance across a cloud-first environment. You will partner closely with engineering and security teams to design and operate scalable, automated solutions that enhance endpoint management, security controls, and enterprise communication flows. This position is ideal for professionals coming from traditional systems or DevOps backgrounds who are comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-scaling organizations. It is also well suited for identity management specialists who want to broaden their impact across infrastructure and automation initiatives. You will help shape the direction of IT operations by implementing infrastructure-as-code practices, mentoring peers, and driving sustainable improvements in operational efficiency.

What you'll do
- Identify and resolve automation and integration challenges that affect multiple teams and business units across the organization.
- Design, build, and maintain automations and integrations that enhance identity and access management, endpoint management, security, compliance, and enterprise email deliverability.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that expand and integrate corporate IT infrastructure while adhering to infrastructure-as-code principles and best practices.
- Promote automation and AI adoption through structured enablement and training programs that reduce manual effort and support long-term operational sustainability.
- Evaluate and pilot early-stage AI tools and features to optimize internal workflows, testing their effectiveness in controlled environments before broader deployment.
- Coordinate IT incident response activities in collaboration with InfoSec and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution and clear communication.
- Implement and manage no-code automation infrastructure using platforms such as Tines and Workato to streamline repetitive tasks and improve reliability.
- Partner with security and compliance stakeholders to align IT infrastructure with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for process improvements, scalability enhancements, and reliability gains.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives that support continuity, onboarding, and ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to evaluate tools and services, ensuring that technology investments align with business objectives and cost-efficiency goals.
- Support the rollout of new technologies and integrations by building proof-of-concept solutions and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer with a track record of delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities demonstrated through a data-driven approach to identifying root causes and addressing complex operational issues.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers and establishing team standards that improve consistency, quality, and productivity.
- Working knowledge of at least one high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or Perl to develop scripts, automate workflows, and extend tooling capabilities.
- Experience building and operating systems in cloud environments where traditional network perimeters are abstracted or distributed.
- Familiarity with major platforms and tools including AWS, Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf Pro, Intune, Tines, and Workato in production or enterprise settings.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of three in-office days per week to support collaboration, planning, and hands-on troubleshooting.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required for this role, and employment is contingent on verification.
Nice to have
- Experience with iPaaS platforms and managing integration workflows across cloud applications.
- Background in enterprise email deliverability, including authentication, reputation management, and troubleshooting delivery issues.
- Experience building scalable integrations between billing systems and an ERP, preferably NetSuite, to support finance and operations initiatives.
