Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Platform
Job description
About the role
Fin is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Infra-Platform team within our Infraservices Group. You will build the foundational systems and automation that allow our product teams to ship code with high velocity and reliability. This role focuses on using AI-native workflows to eliminate manual toil and evolve our core infrastructure architecture. - Design and execute major architectural updates that enable the platform to scale efficiently under increasing load and complexity.
- Conduct deep-dive incident investigations to identify root causes and implement preventative fixes that reduce future risk.
- Trace and resolve issues across the entire technology stack, from low-level infrastructure components to high-level application behavior.
- Build and maintain self-service platforms for security, compute orchestration, and cost management that empower product engineers to move independently.
- Drive complex technical projects from initial requirements gathering through design, implementation, and stable production deployment.
- Integrate AI coding agents into daily infrastructure workflows to enhance efficiency, improve system safety, and accelerate delivery cycles.
- Establish observability standards and telemetry practices that provide clear insight into system health and performance trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements that support product innovation and reliability goals.
- Mentor junior engineers by providing guidance on best practices for infrastructure as code, cloud patterns, and operational excellence.
Requirements
