Senior / Principal Demo Engineer
Job description
About the role
Fin is looking for a founding Demo Engineer to build the infrastructure and tooling that powers AI agent demonstrations for our global sales team. You will design the environments, data sets, and reset mechanisms that allow our Solutions Engineers to showcase our product reliably and effectively. This role sits at the intersection of product engineering, go-to-market strategy, and enablement, serving as a force multiplier for the entire field organization. You will own the technical narrative of our product through programmable, on-demand demos that de-risk sales conversations. Your work will directly influence how prospects perceive the reliability and depth of our platform. You will establish the foundational patterns that turn exploratory conversations into repeatable, production-grade demonstrations.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and operate the end-to-end demo platform, orchestrating multi-tenant mock workspaces, dynamic configuration, and resilient automated reset infrastructure.
- Engineer internal-facing features and workflows that empower Solutions Engineers to generate and customize demo accounts with minimal manual intervention.
- Leverage AI models to synthesize realistic prospect data, intricate org structures, and nuanced conversation scenarios tailored to specific industry verticals.
- Author templates and define scripting hooks that enable the team to construct complex demo scenarios while rigorously maintaining safety guardrails.
- Validate that demos faithfully represent the product across all customer surfaces, including web messengers, mobile SDKs, voice interfaces, email threads, Slack interactions, and API workflows.
- Collaborate closely with the enablement team to author training materials, curate demo libraries, and define certification paths for internal practitioners.
- Align with product teams to ensure demo capabilities are robust, scalable, and ready for new product launches and major feature releases.
- Translate observed field patterns into codified tools and playbooks that elevate the effectiveness of the broader go-to-market organization.
- Implement observability and testing frameworks specific to demo environments to ensure consistent quality and rapid debugging.
- Optimize the demo creation lifecycle for speed and reliability, reducing setup time and increasing scenario reuse.
- Partner with design and product leadership to ensure that demo narratives communicate the intended value proposition with precision.
- Maintain a library of reusable data fixtures, environment templates, and synthetic identities to support a diverse range of sales scenarios.
- Automate the provisioning and teardown of demo sandboxes to support high-volume, concurrent sales engagements.
- Document architectural decisions and operational procedures to ensure continuity and enable scalable demo operations.
