About the role
Figma is seeking a Technical Account Manager to act as a primary technical advisor for our largest enterprise clients in the Tokyo market. In this role, you will own the strategic technical guidance necessary to ensure these organizations successfully integrate Figma into their existing infrastructure and achieve scalable adoption. You will analyze complex operational environments to identify risks and opportunities, translating them into clear implementation roadmaps that drive tangible business outcomes. The position requires a consultative mindset to navigate enterprise-level decision-making and align platform capabilities with high-level organizational objectives. You will serve as the critical bridge between Figma's product offerings and the specific technical and business needs of each account. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to foster executive confidence while enabling cross-functional teams to maximize their use of the platform. You will be expected to build trusted relationships that position you as the central expert for all things related to Figma's enterprise deployment.

What you'll do
Serve as a strategic technical advisor to help enterprise clients define and achieve their business goals through the effective use of Figma.
Perform in-depth technical environment assessments to uncover potential risks and develop detailed implementation roadmaps tailored to client infrastructure.
Advise clients on the configuration and utilization of enterprise APIs to ensure secure and scalable data and functionality integration.
Guide client teams in managing identity frameworks, ensuring alignment with corporate security standards and single sign-on protocols.
Collaborate closely with client developer teams to streamline design-to-code workflows, optimizing the use of Dev Mode and platform extensibility features.
Design and deliver technical training sessions and hands-on workshops that elevate platform proficiency and confidence across user groups.
Act as a key liaison between client stakeholders and internal departments such as product, sales, and customer experience to coordinate solutions and drive account growth.
Translate ambiguous or high-level business requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks that demonstrate direct value to executive leadership.
Support the identification of expansion opportunities within existing accounts by uncovering new use cases and workflow integration points.
Contribute to the development of standardized technical documentation and playbooks that enhance the consistency of engagements across the enterprise portfolio.
Work alongside customer success and engineering teams to resolve complex implementation challenges in a timely and professional manner.
Champion the adoption of AI-powered solutions within Figma, advising on governance models and architectural strategies that mitigate risk.
Ensure all technical enablement activities are aligned with broader organizational objectives, focusing on measurable outcomes and long-term value.
Regularly communicate account health and technical performance metrics to stakeholders, fostering transparency and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in technical account management, solutions engineering, or enterprise customer success within a SaaS environment.
- Demonstrate professional fluency in both English and Japanese, with the ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
- Possess a working knowledge of enterprise systems, identity management frameworks, API architectures, and modern integration patterns.
- Have direct experience advising clients on the implementation of AI-powered solutions, including considerations for governance and technical architecture.
- Exhibit strong communication skills that allow you to confidently engage with both highly technical audiences and executive decision-makers.
- Apply a consultative approach to problem-solving, particularly within complex organizational structures and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Show an ability to build rapport quickly and establish credibility with clients at all organizational levels.
- Have a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.
- Be willing to adhere to Figma's policies regarding confidentiality, data security, and professional conduct at all times.
Nice to have
Experience working directly with Figma or similar design and developer collaboration platforms.
A background in frontend development or design-to-code workflows, providing deeper empathy for the teams you support.
The ability to author structured AI guideline files or instructions for MCP servers and AI agents to streamline implementation.
Prior experience delivering technical advisory services or conducting enablement workshops for enterprise clients.
