About the role
Figma is seeking a technical expert to support our Federal accounts by connecting our platform capabilities with specific business goals. You will work alongside Sales and product teams to manage the technical aspects of the deal cycle, including security requirements and product demonstrations. In this capacity, you will serve as the primary technical voice for federal initiatives, ensuring that our solutions align with the unique constraints and objectives of government environments. Your responsibilities will involve bridging the gap between complex platform features and the strategic outcomes that public sector clients seek to achieve. You will own the narrative that connects Figma's collaborative design platform to mission-driven results in highly regulated settings. This role requires a proactive mindset to translate enterprise needs into actionable technical guidance for both customers and internal partners. Ultimately, you will be accountable for enabling trusted relationships that position Figma as an integral partner in federal digital transformation efforts.

What you'll do
Present the Figma platform to prospective customers through tailored demos and strategic discussions that address federal use cases.
Assist the Sales organization by answering technical questions and demonstrating how our tools improve digital product delivery within government workflows.
Manage IT and security-related conversations during the sales process, including completing security questionnaires and navigating compliance requirements.
Partner with Product and Support teams to influence the roadmap based on security needs and enterprise feedback from federal stakeholders.
Develop technical sales strategies and create content that supports customer engagement and addresses the specific context of public sector procurement.
Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and customers to scale technical sales efforts across multiple federal agencies and programs.
Evaluate and learn new technologies rapidly to lead technical evaluations that help decision-makers understand the value and feasibility of proposed solutions.
Explain complex platform concepts to diverse audiences, including technical evaluators, executive sponsors, and procurement officials, using clear and precise language.
Maintain current knowledge of security compliance and IT relationship management expectations relevant to selling into regulated government environments.
Contribute subject matter expertise on front-end development and the developer lifecycle to ensure that solutions are practical and aligned with real-world implementation challenges.
Requirements
- 8+ years of total professional experience in relevant technical or consulting roles.
- 4+ years of direct experience in solution consulting or sales engineering within a SaaS company.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly master new technologies and lead technical evaluations for enterprise customers.
- Exceptional presentation skills with the capacity to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences in high-stakes settings.
- Background in front-end development or the developer lifecycle, with an understanding of how software is built and deployed.
- Proven capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven sales support environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for producing clear documentation and engaging in high-level stakeholder discussions.
- Willingness to comply with camera-on policies during video interviews and to attend in-person onboarding when required for role fulfillment.
Nice to have
- Experience consulting with federal agencies or government partners regarding SaaS products and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with Figma or other UI/UX design tools, including hands-on experience using the platform in real projects.

This is a full-time role with an annual salary range of $115,200 to $245,600 USD, supplemented by equity and comprehensive benefits. Compensation includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement contributions, and parental leave, with incentive compensation applicable for sales roles.
