Senior Product Manager - Security & Urban Operations
Job description
Senior Product Manager - Security & Urban Operations at Field Ai.
About the role
You will own the end to end lifecycle of the detection and intelligence product line for security and urban operations, turning raw sensor feeds into real time decisions at the edge. You will ensure that what the edge sees is understood correctly and reported reliably before any incident escalates. You will act as the primary product voice for this vertical, shaping how operators, sales, and customers perceive and adopt the solution. You will partner daily with engineering and field teams to translate messy operational reality into disciplined product scope. You will prioritize based on direct customer and deployment feedback, ensuring the product solves the hardest problems first. You will calibrate continuously with usage data and field evidence, retiring weak features and reinforcing those that prove their value. You will build on our core platform so that every solution generalizes, avoiding one off customizations for each new site.
Key facts
What you'll do
Run rigorous customer discovery with security operators, field teams, and deployment engineers, converting their raw feedback into a clear, evidence backed problem list.
Define and sequence the roadmap for detection and intelligence features, turning vague wishes into scoped, testable work that engineering can reliably commit to.
Lead technical discussions with engineering, ensuring solution design is elegant, maintainable, and aligned with edge constraints and real time requirements.
Implement a disciplined intake process that ranks needs with customer feedback first, followed by field and deployment engineers, then development engineers.
Own go to market positioning and narrative for the security vertical, building sales enablement materials and acting as the product's trusted voice for the industry.
Close the loop with usage data and field feedback, identifying features that are not landing and doubling down on those that drive real operator value.
Partner closely with the core platform team to build shared capabilities that generalize across customers, sites, and incident types.
Own the full customer journey for security and urban operations accounts, coordinating with field deployment teams to ensure smooth adoption and operations.
Design reporting and dashboards that turn detections into actionable operator decisions, reducing false alarms and increasing trust in the single alert that matters.
Ensure real time perception and scene understanding at the edge, enabling property and safety critical decisions to be made before issues escalate.
Requirements
You have 5 or more years of proven product management experience, including shipping SaaS or software products end to end from discovery through launch and iteration.
You bring security or urban operations industry experience, having built for, sold into, or worked hands on with physical security, surveillance, or urban and facility operations.
You demonstrate deep customer empathy and strong discovery skills, turning messy field reality into a prioritized problem list rather than a wish list.
You have a track record of owning scope, defining it clearly, sequencing it thoughtfully, and committing to crisp requirements that engineering can execute against.
You communicate excellently, both in writing and verbally, and can shape a go to market narrative that enables a sales team as the product's voice for the vertical.
You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information while maintaining rigor in problem definition and acceptance criteria.
You work effectively with engineering and field teams, balancing technical constraints with customer needs to deliver practical solutions.
You are data minded, using usage data and field feedback to close the loop, retire underperforming features, and invest in high impact capabilities.
Nice to have
Hands on experience with robotics, autonomy, computer vision, or hardware, which helps you speak the same language as engineers and customers.
Familiarity with computer vision pipelines, edge inference, and real time detection and alerting systems, enabling deeper collaboration with technical partners.
