About the role
Field AI is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex technology programs for our most strategic enterprise industrial customers. This role involves serving as the primary point of contact between customer executives and Field AI's internal teams, including Product, Solutions, Engineering, and Delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each engagement achieves its technical, operational, and business objectives by overseeing multiple interdependent workstreams, establishing clear accountability across teams, and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders. This position requires a professional with excellent communication skills, disciplined program leadership, and a deep understanding of how sophisticated technology solutions are developed and deployed in industrial environments. The role is highly visible within the organization and demands sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to influence and drive results without direct authority.

What you'll do
- Lead the planning and execution of large, complex customer programs from initial scoping through development, deployment, and operational handoff, ensuring all phases are completed successfully and on schedule
- Act as the main program-level interface between executive customer stakeholders and internal teams across Product, Solutions, Engineering, and Delivery, facilitating clear communication and alignment
- Translate customer business objectives into detailed program requirements, priorities, milestones, and success criteria to guide project teams and ensure alignment with client expectations
- Develop and maintain comprehensive, integrated program plans that cover scope, schedules, budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, and deliverables, providing visibility and control over the entire program lifecycle
- Indirectly lead and coordinate a team of Technical Project Managers, ensuring that individual workstreams are aligned with overall program objectives and that progress is tracked effectively
- Establish and oversee program governance structures, including executive steering meetings, operating reviews, status reporting, decision-making processes, and escalation paths to facilitate smooth program execution
- Communicate program progress, risks, tradeoffs, and key decisions clearly and effectively to both executive and technical audiences, ensuring transparency and stakeholder buy-in
- Proactively identify potential execution challenges, cross-functional dependencies, resource constraints, and scope changes, and develop mitigation strategies to address them promptly
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leaders to align customer commitments with product roadmaps, technical feasibility, and organizational capacity, ensuring realistic delivery plans
- Manage customer expectations by maintaining high levels of professionalism, transparency, and responsiveness, fostering long-term trust and satisfaction
- Monitor financial performance of programs, including budgets and contractual commitments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Drive accountability across internal and external teams by setting clear expectations, tracking progress, and facilitating collaboration, even without direct reporting authority
- Capture lessons learned from each program and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Field AI's enterprise program management practices, tools, and processes
- Support the expansion of successful customer programs from initial deployment to broader enterprise-scale adoption, helping clients realize maximum value from Field AI's solutions
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in project or program management, with significant responsibility for large, complex, customer-facing technology programs in industrial or enterprise environments
- Proven success in delivering projects on time and within budget, managing multiple teams, workstreams, and organizational dependencies simultaneously
- Experience working at a technology company, with a preference for backgrounds in enterprise software, robotics, artificial intelligence, industrial technology, automation, or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and build trust with executive-level customer stakeholders and internal leadership
- Experience coordinating technical delivery teams and providing leadership to project managers or other cross-functional workstream owners
- Strong understanding of product development and technology delivery lifecycles, including planning, execution, and deployment phases
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, capable of communicating complex technical and business information clearly and concisely
- Strong financial and commercial judgment, with experience managing program budgets, scope changes, and contractual deliverables
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to bring structure, clarity, and accountability to ambiguous or rapidly evolving situations
- Professional presence, sound judgment, and a customer-oriented mindset that prioritizes client satisfaction and long-term relationships
- Ability to influence and drive results across teams without relying solely on direct authority, demonstrating leadership and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

- Experience delivering technology solutions for customers in energy, manufacturing, construction, logistics, automotive, mining, or other industrial sectors
- Familiarity with enterprise robotics, autonomous systems, AI, or hardware-and-software deployments in industrial environments
- Experience managing programs that include product development, systems integration, field deployment, and organizational change management
- Knowledge of industrial operating environments, safety standards, and customer procurement or governance processes
- Project or program management certification, such as PMP or equivalent, to demonstrate formal project management expertise
