What you'll do

• Conduct thorough property tax assessments for commercial properties, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Analyze property tax bills and assessments, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for tax savings.
• Prepare and file property tax returns and appeals, working diligently to meet strict deadlines.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information for accurate tax reporting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local tax authorities and assessors to facilitate effective communication and negotiation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial property tax analysis or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of property tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements at local, state, and federal levels.
• Proven track record of successfully managing property tax appeals and negotiations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in using property tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
