Key facts

What you'll do

• Prepare and file personal property tax returns for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
• Conduct thorough research on personal property tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance to clients.
• Assist in the valuation of personal property assets, ensuring that all calculations are precise and compliant with applicable laws.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information for tax filings, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the process.
• Review and analyze property tax assessments, identifying opportunities for appeals or adjustments when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of all tax filings, correspondence, and supporting documentation to ensure audit readiness.

• Work closely with the finance team to integrate personal property tax data into broader financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist in the development of internal processes and best practices to enhance the efficiency of personal property tax compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal property tax compliance or a similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of personal property tax laws and regulations at both state and local levels.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
