About the role
Farfetch is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join the Strategic Sourcing department in Porto. You will assist in managing supplier relationships and procurement processes across logistics, warehousing, and packaging categories. In this role, you will act as a key operational link between internal stakeholders and the supplier ecosystem, ensuring that procurement activities are aligned with broader business objectives. You will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end sourcing cycle, with a focus on transparency, efficiency, and compliance. Key facts
What you'll do
- Coordinate the distribution and preparation of Requests for Proposal for non-critical supply chain segments, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Create bid models to compare supplier pricing and uncover cost drivers, enabling data-driven decision-making during the selection process.
- Perform market research to monitor industry trends, capacity issues, and macroeconomic factors that may influence future sourcing strategies.
- Help Category Managers develop negotiation tactics using historical data and performance benchmarks to secure favorable terms.
- Collaborate with legal teams to manage the execution of NDAs, MSAs, and supplier contracts, ensuring all documentation meets internal and regulatory standards.
- Guide new vendors through internal compliance, risk assessment, and onboarding procedures to facilitate smooth integration into the supplier ecosystem.
- Maintain relationships with internal supply chain stakeholders to address their procurement requirements and ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis to track savings and assist Accounts Payable with invoice accuracy, contributing to financial control and reporting integrity.
- Support the categorization and profiling of supply chain segments to improve visibility into spending patterns and supplier performance.
- Assist in the development of sourcing dashboards and key performance indicators to monitor procurement effectiveness over time.
- Contribute to the identification of supply chain risks and the implementation of mitigation plans in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in the evaluation of logistics and packaging providers to support cost optimization and service level improvements.
- Provide administrative support for sourcing projects, including scheduling meetings, maintaining documentation, and tracking action items.
- Enable continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process refinement and standardization within procurement operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or Supply Chain Management, providing a foundational understanding of business operations and analytical methods.
- 1 to 5 years of professional experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain operations, demonstrating exposure to real-world procurement activities.
- Advanced data analysis capabilities, specifically regarding large datasets and complex spreadsheet formulas, allowing for accurate interpretation of procurement metrics.
- Solid understanding of core business functions including Finance, Legal, HR, and Sales, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear communication with internal teams and international suppliers.
- Proven ability to manage multiple international stakeholders, balancing priorities and expectations in a dynamic environment.
- Capacity to deliver results under tight time constraints, maintaining quality and accuracy even when working against demanding deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all procurement documentation and processes are error-free and compliant with company standards.
- Willingness to work within a structured framework, adhering to established policies and procedures while contributing to process improvements.
