About the role
FareHarbor is a booking and scheduling platform that serves tour and activity operators around the world. The Product Manager for Integrations and API will lead the design and delivery of integration features that connect FareHarbor with external systems and partner platforms. This role works closely with engineering teams to define API specifications, manage integration workflows, and ensure a reliable experience for both internal users and third-party developers. The position is based in Amsterdam and reports into the product organization at FareHarbor. The team is responsible for maintaining and evolving the integrations that power thousands of booking connections across the global travel ecosystem.

What you'll do
Own the roadmap and prioritization for all integration and API features across the FareHarbor platform.
Define and maintain API contracts and documentation that external developers use to build on FareHarbor.
Collaborate with engineering leads to plan and execute integration projects from discovery through production release.
Gather requirements from internal stakeholders and external partners to identify new integration opportunities.
Analyze usage patterns and performance data to improve the reliability and speed of existing integrations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party developers working with the FareHarbor API.
Work with the design team to create clear integration flows and user-facing documentation for operators.
Coordinate with customer success and support teams to triage integration-related issues and feature requests.
Write user stories and acceptance criteria that clearly communicate integration requirements to engineering teams.
Present integration progress and roadmap updates to leadership and cross-functional partners on a regular cadence.
Monitor API uptime, error rates, and latency metrics to ensure a consistent experience for all integration partners.
Participate in architecture reviews and technical discussions to shape the long-term direction of the FareHarbor API.
Requirements
Proven experience as a product manager with a focus on API or integration products, ideally in a B2B or platform context.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, authentication methods, and common integration patterns.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear requirements for both engineering and non-technical audiences.
Experience managing a product backlog and making prioritization decisions based on business impact and technical feasibility.
Comfortable working in an agile development environment with cross-functional teams of engineers and designers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least five years of experience in product management or a related role in software development.
Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguous, incomplete information and still deliver clear, actionable product decisions.
Experience presenting product roadmaps and strategy to executive stakeholders and external partners.
Nice to have
Experience with payment gateway integrations or travel and hospitality platform ecosystems.
Familiarity with webhook architectures, event-driven systems, and real-time data synchronization patterns.
Prior experience managing a public developer portal or API marketplace with external partners.
Knowledge of GraphQL or gRPC in addition to RESTful API design.
Understanding of OAuth 2.0, API key management, and rate limiting concepts.
Skills & tools
Proficiency with API design tools such as Swagger, OpenAPI, or Postman for specification and testing.
Experience with version control systems like Git and working within a CI/CD pipeline.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP for understanding integration infrastructure.
Comfortable using project management tools like Jira, Linear, or Asana to track integration work.
Ability to read and write code at a basic level to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
Experience with data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV in the context of integration workflows.
Knowledge of SQL for querying integration logs and understanding data flow between systems.
Practical notes
This role is based in our Amsterdam office and requires on-site presence during standard business hours.
The team operates on a hybrid schedule with a mix of in-office collaboration and focused remote work days.
