GTM Operations Engineer
Job description
GTM Operations Engineer at Fal Ai.
About the role
You will own the execution layer of the revenue systems as the second GTM operations hire, operating at the intersection of builder and first-line support for a thirty-person GTM organization. This is an AI-first seat where you will leverage Claude, Cursor, and Codex daily to automate workflows and dramatically increase your operational throughput. You will be the primary builder and maintainer of critical revenue systems, ensuring that sales motions run smoothly and predictably at scale. You will also serve as the front-line problem solver, the person other teams call first when a deal or a tool is stuck. Your day-to-day will blend data plumbing, system design, and direct support to keep the GTM engine moving. If you enjoy turning ambiguous operational needs into reliable automated systems, this role is a direct path to impact.
Key facts
What you'll do
Create target lists and audiences for outbound, campaigns, and marketing programs to enable swift and effective sales execution.
Build novel, custom, agentic workflows using tools like Gumloop to automate repetitive GTM tasks and decision logic.
Run data enrichment, hygiene, and processing activities, cleaning, deduping, and enriching records in Clay and Salesforce.
Provide daily systems support, user management, and front-line issue resolution across the GTM stack, including Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, Apollo, Clay, and Common Room.
Execute territory refinements and CRM build work in close coordination with RevOps and sales leadership priorities.
Work closely with sales leadership and operations to refine and improve GTM processes through thoughtful system design and enablement.
Ensure new hires are set up correctly and are fluent in their tools from day one, reducing time-to-productivity.
Manage and optimize systems such as Outreach for sales engagement, Common Room for community and signal tracking, Gumloop for agentic workflows, and Default for inbound lead routing.
Leverage AI tools as core building blocks to script, automate, and ship improvements rapidly without waiting for traditional engineering.
Maintain a service mindset, diagnosing root causes, fixing issues quickly, and unblocking revenue teams so they can focus on selling.
Translate ambiguous operational requests into concrete system changes that scale across the GTM organization.
Monitor and report on key system health metrics to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement in sales workflows.
Own routine but critical data tasks with high precision, knowing that small errors can have large revenue impacts.
Act as a bridge between technical systems and commercial teams, explaining capabilities and constraints in clear, actionable terms.
Requirements
3 to 5 years in GTM, revenue, or sales operations at a B2B software company with exposure to usage-based or PLG models.
Fluent understanding of how revenue teams operate, including the daily workflows of BDRs generating lists and sequences, AEs managing pipeline hygiene and deal cycles, and AMs handling renewals, expansion, and account health.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce administration, including declarative configuration such as flows, permissions, and reports.
Practical experience with at least one sales engagement platform and an enrichment tool, with strong preference for Clay.
Comfortable working with APIs and webhooks to integrate systems and debug sync issues without needing a full engineering dependency.
SQL knowledge is a plus, while traditional software engineering depth is not required.
Fluent with AI tools as a builder, using agents like Claude, Cursor, or Codex to automate tasks and accelerate delivery.
A systems-design mindset paired with a service orientation, able to see the process behind the ticket while still responding quickly to support requests.
High ownership and low ego, willing to perform unglamorous data work with precision to support revenue outcomes.
Nice to have
Experience with CPQ or quote-to-cash workflows.
Hands-on work with workflow automation platforms such as Gumloop, n8n, Zapier, or Make.
Exposure to data warehouses or reverse ETL tools like BigQuery, Hightouch, or Census.
Familiarity with the generative media or AI infrastructure space, understanding how models are accessed and governed.
