Faire is seeking a Senior Associate to serve as a financial partner for its Corporate functions. This role involves close collaboration with the CFO and other senior leaders within the Corporate team to enhance financial planning and forecasting processes. As part of the Enterprise Finance and Strategy team, the Senior Associate will play a crucial role in translating business strategies into actionable financial plans, comprehensive reporting, and insightful analysis. Key facts
What you'll do
- Act as the main finance business partner for Corporate functions, taking ownership of financial planning and analysis while supporting strategic initiatives across the organization.
- Spearhead the development of processes among finance business partners, establishing best practices for expense tracking, budgeting, and forecasting, while maintaining shared templates and rituals.
- Oversee the consolidation and reporting of operating expenses across the company, serving as the primary Finance liaison for Accounting during pre-close activities, enhancing the accuracy of accruals, and expediting close cycles.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal stakeholders, including the leadership team, board of directors, and investors.
- Collaborate with the Systems lead to enhance the planning infrastructure, incorporating AI advancements and improvements to the Pigment environment to streamline budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and insights that can inform strategic decision-making and improve overall financial performance.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of financial strategies and initiatives.
- Provide clear and concise communication of complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment on financial goals.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or a similar role with a strong emphasis on financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting.
- Proficient in financial modeling, including the ability to create and maintain consolidated financial statements.
- An analytical mindset with the capability to define KPIs and assess performance effectively.
- Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional leaders and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into straightforward recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience in equity modeling, including cap table management, dilution analysis, and stock-based compensation modeling.
- Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Pigment or Netsuite, which can enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
- Previous exposure to AI tools for planning and process improvement, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to finance.
