About the role

You will own the end to end management of assigned work streams that support the delivery and implementation of bespoke AI safety solutions for clients in high stakes sectors. You will translate complex operational requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can act upon with precision. You will work side by side with key stakeholders to understand critical mission challenges and evolving user needs in government and public service contexts. You will conduct open source analysis to inform the development and evaluation of cutting edge AI tools and capabilities. You will design and test workflows that support user centric decision making in environments where safety and accuracy are paramount. You will collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure projects stay on schedule, meet quality standards, and satisfy demanding client specifications. You will contribute to internal thought leadership, shaping strategy and capability development across the AI Safety team.

What you'll do

• Maintaining awareness of evolving AI safety standards, evaluation techniques, and regulatory expectations relevant to public sector clients.
• Proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supporting the definition and scoping of new engagements related to AI safety, red teaming, and frontier model evaluation.
• Facilitating workshops and discovery sessions to align stakeholders on objectives, constraints, and success metrics.
• Ensuring that deliverables are clearly documented, traceable to requirements, and ready for integration with existing systems.

Requirements

• You demonstrate analytical thinking, can clearly communicate ideas, and synthesise complex information for diverse audiences.
• You bring a passion for applied AI safety, possibly drawn from experience within labs, academia, or evaluation and red teaming roles.
• You have external client facing experience and have built trusted relationships which have contributed to the overall success of projects or products.
• You have worked effectively with technical teams, bridging gaps between domain expertise and engineering implementation.
• You understand agile and related methodologies, including the basis of iterative development and continuous delivery.
• You are thoughtful and proactive in ambiguous situations, with examples of taking initiative and owning solutions to challenging problems.
• You are excited and knowledgeable about the possibilities for innovation in AI safety technology and its responsible deployment.
• You are legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom and meet all eligibility requirements under UK employment law.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in national security, public sector, or defence contexts where AI safety considerations are critical.
• Familiarity with frontier model evaluation frameworks, red teaming methodologies, and safety testing protocols.
• Exposure to policy, standards, or regulatory processes relevant to AI assurance and governance.
• Experience delivering training, workshops, or advisory sessions for senior government or mission critical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of secure or classified environment workflows and constraints where applicable.

Practical notes

This is a full time role based in the UK

London location. The position operates within a hybrid working framework as defined by company policy. Applicants must meet all eligibility and legal requirements to work in the United Kingdom. The recruitment process includes multiple interview stages, including a talent team screen, an introduction interview, a case study interview, and an interview with the business unit director.
