Field Marketing, Central
Job description
Field Marketing Manager at Factory.
About the role
This role owns field marketing for the Central region, covering Chicago, Houston, Dallas, and Austin. Success depends on using account-based principles to reach target accounts and reflecting the mission of bringing autonomy to software engineering.
Marketing teams grow awareness and demand for a company's products. They write copy, run campaigns, manage channels, and measure results. The work spans content, paid ads, email, events, and search. Marketing roles combine creativity with data and constant testing. Marketing teams usually run experiments every week and keep the work that performs. Most companies hire specialists in channels such as paid search, email, or content.

What you'll do
Programs are built to scale into other regions and segments as the company grows.
The regional calendar is built by identifying and prioritizing cities, accounts, and formats that drive pipeline generation and deal acceleration.
Venues, speakers, sponsorships, vendors, and budgets are managed end-to-end to run the operation.
Events are run on the ground, with real-time calls made and Factory represented directly to customers and prospects during travel.
Requirements
Experience at a high-growth startup or hyper-growth public technology company is required. A proven track record of driving pipeline through field programs supporting Enterprise and Mid-Market sales is required.
Hands-on ABM experience includes building and executing account-based field programs, using intent data to prioritize accounts, and aligning tactics to a named-account strategy. Strong project management skills manage multiple programs, cities, and stakeholders simultaneously. Comfort with the modern event and marketing tech stack, including Salesforce, HubSpot, and Luma, is required.
AI-curious experience is required, using AI tools to rewire how work is done, preparing, communicating, and executing with AI as a multiplier. A degree requirement is stated.
Practical notes
Typical interview steps
Marketing interviews often include a portfolio review, a campaign exercise, and analytics questions. Candidates may be asked to plan a launch, write a brief, or improve a funnel. Some loops include a presentation. Results from past campaigns carry the most weight. Interviewers ask about specific campaigns you ran and what the numbers said. Preparing a short case of one campaign with its results is strong preparation.
Good to know
Field marketing blends strategy and execution to grow programs in a fast-moving environment. Modern event and marketing technology stacks support campaign management and measurement. Account-based marketing focuses on a defined set of high-value accounts. AI tools can accelerate preparation, communication, and execution when used thoughtfully. This role helps define how a team shows up in its market from day one.
Questions to ask
Useful questions for the interview: what a typical week looks like, how work is assigned, what tools the team uses, and how feedback works. Asking how the role has changed recently and what the team wishes it had known when joining is also reasonable. Questions about the manager's priorities are especially valued.
Career growth
Marketing careers move from associate to manager, director, and VP levels. Specializations include growth, brand, product marketing, and content. Generalists often start, then specialize as they advance. Measured impact on pipeline and revenue drives progression. Marketing careers reward measurable results and adaptability. Channel experience plus business sense usually beats a general resume.
