Deployed Product Manager
Job description
About the role
The Deployed Product Manager owns the end-to-end post-sales journey for our most strategic enterprise accounts, translating the conviction that agent-native engineering is the future into tangible adoption and transformation. You will synthesize customer needs, engineer motivations, product capabilities, and impact opportunities to design deployment plans that turn buyers into power users and stronger engineering organizations. This role requires deep immersion in intricate workflows, where you partner with customer teams and explore data to uncover friction and opportunity across the software development lifecycle. You will operate as a technical product manager focused on the customer, organizing, analyzing, and relentlessly driving deployments toward successful solutions. The position involves building repeatable playbooks, influencing the product roadmap, and defining what success looks like for enterprise engineering teams using Factory. You will embed with Engineering and Product to convert field insights into native product capabilities that scale. The role demands fluency in how enterprises build and ship software, paired with the ability to turn that understanding into action. You are accountable for sustaining adoption and consumption growth long after initial deployment.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own the technical relationship for your accounts from the moment a deal closes, partnering with the Account Executive and Solutions Engineer who landed them.
- Immerse yourself in how each customer builds software, locate their biggest sources of friction, and design a deployment plan that transforms them into a software Factory.
- Get customers live as quickly as possible, then drive sustained adoption and consumption growth through high-leverage interventions.
- Work with executives and individual users to find creative pathways for ramping usage and demonstrating value at every stage of maturity.
- Build repeatable playbooks and automate operational work, monitoring consumption patterns and intervening early when usage dips or blockers arise.
- Translate field observations into a clear product narrative, feeding insights back to Engineering and Product to shape the native roadmap.
- Partner with customer teams to explore data, validate hypotheses, and refine deployment strategies based on real behavior.
- Define and own the playbook for enterprise transformation, clarifying milestones, success metrics, and adoption drivers.
- Act as the operational hub for deployment activities, coordinating across solutions engineering, account management, and product teams.
- Maintain a relentless focus on outcomes, ensuring that adoption translates into measurable improvements for the customer's software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- An extraordinary ability to take on open-ended problems in unstructured environments and drive them to a result, even when clarity is initially low.
- A strong technical foundation in the software development lifecycle and systems design, with the ability to reason fluently about how enterprises build and ship software.
- A product manager's mindset: organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of rallying engineers and stakeholders toward a solution.
- Backgrounds that map well include technical product management at an engineering-led company, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or engineering experience paired with a genuine pull toward customers.
- Sharp product intuition and real user empathy, with the credibility to work closely with engineers both at the customer and across Product and Solutions Engineering teams.
- A builder mindset, where you are excited to help build the function, not just fill a seat, and you are comfortable with ambiguity while moving fast.
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment where roles are fluid and ownership is high, demonstrating comfort with rapid change and undefined responsibilities.
- In-office commitment requiring 5 days per week in San Francisco, with working proximity to Caltrain.
