What you'll do

• Collaborate with other instructors in preparing, administering, and grading examinations for the course, and participate in the preparation of the final evaluations.
• Assure class attendance and grades are kept and submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure quality of program outcomes.
• Plan and implement orientation for new faculty in both theory and clinical facilities for assigned courses.
• Utilize principles of teaching that recognize the characteristics of the adult learner to optimize engagement.
• Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction through feedback and self-reflection.
• Demonstrate or be willing to acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content and materials during interactive teaching.
• Maintain student records and assist with program data collection to support institutional reporting.
• Submit required program reports and forms to the Director of the program in a timely and organized fashion.
• Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations to ensure a compliant learning environment.
• Participate in committee activities that support the education program and broader institutional goals.
• Attend faculty meetings to discuss curriculum, assessment, and operational matters.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned health care facilities, ensuring alignment with learning objectives.
• Follow all policies and procedures established by Unitek Learning without exception.
• Provide feedback on clinical performance or specific events immediately after observation to promote growth.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet both student learning needs and facility requirements.
• Determine the best method to observe, instruct, and evaluate students using varied instructional strategies.
• Provide in-person and remote access to students for ongoing communication and academic support.
• Participate in student advising activities to guide learners through their academic journey.
• The role requires on-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff to foster a cohesive educational environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the dynamic needs of the program.

Requirements

• At least 4 years' experience in direct patient care as an RN for CCNE-accredited BSN program faculty roles.
• Hold a BSN degree and a health-related Masters or Doctorate degree as stipulated by ACCSC accreditation standards.
• For ABHES-accredited BSN program faculty roles, possess at least 3 years' experience in direct patient care as an RN.
• Hold a BSN degree and a health-related Masters or Doctorate degree as required for ABHES accreditation.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of nursing standards, accreditation requirements, and institutional outcomes.
• Maintain professional integrity and adhere to ethical practice in all learning environments.
• Commit to fostering academic excellence in alignment with healthcare education best practices.
• Exhibit strong communication skills to engage with diverse learners and stakeholders effectively.
