Example Corp is seeking a Senior Marketing Analyst to join our growing team. This position is central to enabling data-driven decision-making across the marketing organization. You will own the end-to-end management of marketing analytics and operational workflows. A core responsibility of this role is building and maintaining the marketing measurement framework that transforms raw data into clear, actionable narratives for the business. You will partner closely with digital analysts and key stakeholders to define critical key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure all marketing initiatives are measured accurately and consistently. A significant portion of your work will involve designing and developing dashboards and automated reports that deliver real-time insight into campaign performance. You will act as the central point of contact for marketing operations data, ensuring standards, definitions, and documentation are applied uniformly. This role requires a methodical mindset to troubleshoot data issues and continuously optimize reporting processes for efficiency and clarity. You will also support test and learn initiatives by setting up tracking infrastructure, analyzing results, and translating findings into recommendations that shape future strategies.
What you'll do
Analyze complex marketing datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for performance improvement.
Build and maintain dashboards using analytics platforms to visualize key marketing metrics for cross-functional audiences.
Develop and distribute automated reports that summarize campaign results and highlight areas requiring immediate attention.
Partner with digital marketing teams to define tracking requirements and ensure proper implementation of campaigns from start to finish.
Lead the documentation of data definitions, business processes, and standards to support transparency, consistency, and reproducibility.
Serve as the operational liaison between marketing and data teams to align on objectives, resolve discrepancies, and streamline workflows.
Design experiments and coordinate with stakeholders to collect relevant data for performance-based decision making.
Champion best practices for data collection, ensuring that tags, events, and parameters are implemented correctly across all platforms.
Support the governance of marketing data by validating accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all reporting sources.
Translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations that guide strategic marketing investments and ongoing optimizations.
Monitor campaign health on an ongoing basis, flagging issues early and proposing corrective actions to stakeholders.
Collaborate with external vendors and tools to integrate new data sources into the existing analytics ecosystem seamlessly.
Contribute to the development of long-term measurement strategies that tightly align marketing activities with overarching business outcomes.
Promote a culture of data literacy by sharing insights and training colleagues on how to interpret key reports and dashboards effectively.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following hard requirements to be considered for this role. You must possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, statistics, or a closely related field. You need a minimum of two years of professional experience in marketing operations, analytics, or a similar role that demonstrates applied analytical capability. Proficiency in spreadsheet tools such as Excel or Google Sheets is essential, including a strong understanding of formulas and data manipulation techniques. You must have hands-on experience with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics. A solid understanding of marketing automation systems and how campaign data flows into reporting environments is required. You should be comfortable working with SQL or a similar query language to extract, transform, and prepare data for analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills are non-negotiable, as you will need to explain complex analytical topics clearly to non-technical audiences. You must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Nice to have
While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will strengthen your application. Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is highly valued. Familiarity with marketing measurement frameworks and common attribution models is considered an advantage. Knowledge of coding languages such as Python or R for advanced data analysis is a plus. Prior experience with project management methodologies and effective stakeholder management is also desirable.
