About the role
You will own the end-to-end product quality strategy for Everpure's data storage solutions, ensuring flawless execution from initial design through high-volume manufacturing. In this role, you act as the primary quality advocate for the product line, balancing rigorous engineering standards with aggressive delivery timelines. You will lead cross-functional initiatives that bridge the gap between design intent and manufacturability, driving predictable outcomes across the supply chain. Your work will directly influence the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure that powers the next generation of data centers. You will be responsible for establishing quality frameworks that prevent defects before they occur, rather than merely detecting them after the fact. This position requires a proactive mindset that anticipates risks and implements controls to safeguard product integrity at every stage.

What you'll do
- Drive end-to-end product quality ownership from new product introduction (NPI) through sustaining production, covering PCBA manufacturing, system integration, and customer support.
- Partner with hardware, test, and supply chain teams to provide critical manufacturing input that shapes product designs for optimal yield and reliability.
- Lead cross-functional root cause analysis efforts with suppliers to identify underlying issues and execute corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
- Establish and refine manufacturing processes and quality standards, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure efficiency, consistency, and defect reduction.
- Deliver technical direction for troubleshooting complex failures, investigating new manufacturing technologies, and enabling value engineering initiatives that reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Evaluate and enhance the engineering design verification process to ensure zero design defects transition into production environments.
- Utilize advanced analytics dashboards and project management frameworks to resolve intricate technical challenges and enforce accountability within contract manufacturing environments.
- Analyze quality data trends, monitor performance metrics in real time, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that elevate product reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and standardize on-going reliability test (ORT) procedures, creating robust failure prediction models that support proactive risk mitigation.
- Provide hands-on expertise in field failure analysis and hardware debugging, with a focus on server and storage environments to accelerate issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with quality data analysis best practices, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and validating their effectiveness.
- Demonstrate superior project management capabilities, coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve timely resolution of complex quality issues.
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Agile PLM, and Netsuite ERP tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain strict adherence to in-office work policies in Santa Clara, CA, aligning with company expectations unless otherwise excused by approved PTO, work travel, or leave.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Possess a minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience in product quality, field quality, or manufacturing engineering within high-tech operations settings.
- Demonstrate deep technical product expertise across PCBA, subassembly, and system-level manufacturing processes, with extensive background in hardware validation, debug, and failure analysis within server or storage environments.
- Apply core quality methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, DFx, and PFMEA with expert proficiency, developing ongoing reliability test procedures and failure prediction models.
- Utilize data-driven decision-making skills, leveraging analytics dashboards and project management frameworks to navigate complex technical challenges in contract manufacturing.
- Exhibit strong experience in quality data analysis, identifying trends, monitoring key metrics, and leading continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable results.
- Maintain a proven background in reliability engineering, focusing on the development and standardization of On-Going Reliability Test (ORT) procedures, design of reliability dashboards, and forecasting failure rates.
- Show a history of successful issue resolution, supported by excellent project management skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
- Preferred candidates will bring prior experience with server storage debugging and field failure analysis within the storage industry.
- Value certifications such as Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Agile PLM, or Netsuite ERP as indicators of advanced operational competence.
- Commit to working primarily from the Santa Clara, California office in compliance with company policies, except when on approved PTO, work travel, or other authorized leave.
