You will architect and execute test strategies that safeguard product integrity across the entire platform. You will act as the primary quality advocate, challenging assumptions and ensuring risk-based testing is rigorous. The position requires collaboration with engineering and product teams to define testable acceptance criteria. You will translate complex product requirements into structured test plans and executable artifacts. This role is critical in maintaining the trust of users who rely on essential life insurance products. You will ensure that every feature released reflects the highest standards of reliability and compliance.

Location and Engagement
The position is based in Bangalore, India. The engagement model is hybrid, blending remote and office work.
Compensation
The offered compensation is 18 LPA.
What you'll do
- Orchestrate intake workflows and design test coverage that mirrors actual user journeys from policy inquiry to claim.
- Apply risk-based scenario design to prioritize testing efforts on high-impact areas that affect user trust and compliance.
- Select appropriate testing methods, such as scripted or exploratory testing, for each feature phase to maximize defect discovery.
- Ensure release adherence to strict deadlines while maintaining quality metrics that validate stability and performance.
- Automate regression suites in collaboration with engineers to create sustainable and maintainable test assets.
- Expand test coverage using existing infrastructure to reduce manual effort and increase test execution efficiency.
- Provide critical feedback on new features to challenge assumptions early in the development lifecycle.
- Discover elusive edge cases that prevent defects which routine checks often overlook in complex insurance workflows.
- Translate intricate product changes into clear test artifacts, keeping documentation current and actionable for the team.
- Partner with carriers to validate integration flows and ensure stability with external systems that handle sensitive data.
- Leverage tools like TestNG, Cypress, Selenium, Rest Assured, Cucumber, and Jest to build robust end-to-end test solutions.
- Drive the implementation of test-driven practices by creating unit, integration, and functional tests that align with product specifications.
Requirements
You must bring three to six years of professional experience in software testing or test framework development. Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language is necessary, such as JavaScript, Java, or Python. Daily use of CI/CD pipelines and cloud tools like AWS or GCP is expected as part of the daily workflow. You will build hands-on automation using various frameworks and tools to support continuous delivery initiatives. Experience with TestNG, Cypress, Selenium, Rest Assured, Cucumber, or Jest is required for effective test execution. You practice test-driven development, creating unit, integration, and functional tests that ensure code reliability. Self-directed curiosity drives your ability to turn bold product ideas into rigorous and repeatable test scenarios. Clear communication of technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a standard expectation. You consistently question existing approaches, pushing for improvements that elevate quality standards across the organization. You thrive in an environment where precision, documentation, and process adherence are essential for success. You understand the importance of compliance and data security in the insurance domain and apply this knowledge in your testing practices. You are comfortable working within a hybrid model, balancing independent work with collaborative sessions in the Bangalore office.
