- Participate in project meetings to provide updates on inspection progress and discuss any challenges encountered during the inspection process.
- Assist in the development of quality control procedures and protocols to enhance the overall effectiveness of the inspection process.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure that inspections are conducted in accordance with the latest standards.
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and other team members on inspection techniques and compliance requirements.
- Conduct follow-up inspections to verify that corrective actions have been implemented and that projects remain in compliance with all applicable standards.
- Prepare and submit inspection reports to regulatory agencies as required, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Foster a culture of safety and quality within the team and throughout the organization by promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil inspection or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey findings and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
- Certification as a Civil Inspector or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
Nice to have
- Experience with specialized inspection techniques, such as non-destructive testing or geotechnical analysis.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools commonly used in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices in civil engineering.
