What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of applications.
• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate DevOps practices into their workflows, promoting a culture of shared responsibility for system performance.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, utilizing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to enhance operational efficiency.
• Implement security best practices in the deployment and management of applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems, ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing across the team.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending tools and practices that can enhance our DevOps capabilities.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, and a solid understanding of version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.

Nice to have

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness.
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies or DevOps practices (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert).
