What you'll do

• Architect and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for the expense intelligence platform, owning quality outcomes for complex financial workflows.
• Design and develop automated integration and UI test suites that validate critical expense processes across distributed, cloud-based systems.
• Create automated component tests for financial modules, focusing on spend visibility, transaction integrity, and data correctness under various conditions.
• Analyze test execution results to isolate root causes of defects, working closely with engineering teams to resolve issues that impact the customer experience.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define test strategies, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, release schedules, and evolving customer needs.
• Execute manual test cases for new features, documenting detailed steps, observations, and evidence to produce clear, actionable defect reports.
• Build and maintain test infrastructure and load tests that simulate real-world usage patterns, validating performance and scalability in AWS cloud environments.
• Review API documentation and recent code changes, providing actionable feedback that improves code quality, test coverage, and overall product reliability.
• Drive the creation of test plans for complex features, selecting testing methodologies that match risk profiles, performance criteria, and regulatory considerations.
• Identify repetitive manual checks and opportunities for automation, defining initiatives that support the product roadmap and reduce long-term quality debt.

• Demonstrate strong ownership of the testing lifecycle, from initial test design through execution, defect tracking, and release validation.

Requirements

• Bring a minimum of four years of professional experience in QA Engineering within a software development context.
• Demonstrate broad computer science fundamentals and proficiency in coding using one or more general-purpose programming languages.
• Show a clear understanding of system interoperability and business logic, enabling the design of relevant tests for risk mitigation.
• Include hands-on experience with Python test frameworks such as Pytest or Playwright in your previous work.
• Be comfortable writing and executing SQL queries to inspect database structures and validate data behavior.
• Provide evidence of having designed and executed manual test cases for complex software applications.
