About the role

You will own the delivery of mental health services within the Early Intervention program, ensuring high-quality, family-centered support for young children. You will partner closely with parents and caregivers, using a coaching model to translate assessment findings into practical, everyday strategies. This role requires you to uphold ethical standards and regulatory compliance while fostering resilience in children and families. You will contribute to a multidisciplinary team, participating in collaborative planning and knowledge sharing to strengthen community-based interventions. Your work will center on social-emotional development, guiding caregivers to create supportive environments for growth. You will manage ongoing treatment planning, care coordination, and the implementation of behavior support plans with fidelity. What you'll do

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment planning, and care coordination for children, adults, and families in accordance with agency policies and regulatory standards.

Perform social-emotional observations and assessments within childcare environments, analyzing findings to develop targeted behavior support plans.

Deliver consultation and guidance to childcare staff and parents or guardians, including clear interpretation of assessment tools and constructive feedback.

Facilitate interdisciplinary care planning meetings to coordinate services, align goals, and ensure seamless, collaborative service delivery.

Attend mandated trainings and supervision sessions to maintain quality standards, integrate best practices, and apply supervisory directives effectively.

Implement evidence-based strategies that promote improved social-emotional development and resilience in children from birth to three years of age.

Support early identification of developmental delays through classroom observations, standardized tools, and compassionate family meetings.

Act as a trusted resource for families, helping them navigate services and build capacity to support their child's growth and well-being.

Champion an inclusive, culturally responsive approach that honors diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.

Requirements

Must hold a Master's degree in Psychology or a related field as the foundational credential for this position.

Bring a minimum of 3 years of direct experience providing mental health services to children and their families in community-based settings.

Possess a valid Massachusetts Driver's License to perform essential job functions requiring local travel.

Licensed Clinician status is preferred and aligns with the expectations for advanced practice within this role.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and compliance with all relevant regulations and agency standards.

Work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment, communicating clearly with colleagues, families, and partners.

Adapt to flexible scheduling, including Monday through Friday shifts, either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm, as organizational needs require.

Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to ensure continuity of services for children and families in the Early Intervention program.

Engage in ongoing professional development, including training participation, supervision attendance, and implementation of feedback.

Show readiness to support children with developmental delays or disabilities in the Everett, Malden, and Medford service areas.

Nice to have

Preferred candidates will have experience delivering community-based therapeutic interventions using a coaching model with young children and caregivers.

Familiarity with standardized social-emotional assessment tools and data-driven decision-making is highly valued.

Practical notes

This is a full-time role with Monday through Friday hours, scheduled as either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm. Travel within the local regions of Everett, Malden, and Medford may be required to perform on-site assessments and family services.
