What you'll do

• Coordinate and implement individualized client care plans while facilitating goal-oriented one-on-one sessions and group activities.
• Apply diverse evidence-based modalities and person-centered approaches through empathetic listening and tailored interventions.
• Participate actively in risk assessments and treatment planning collaborations to promote safety and measurable progress.
• Adhere consistently to Eliot policies, procedures, and agreed-upon schedules, ensuring reliability across a 16-24 hour weekly commitment.
• Complete all required orientation training to ensure readiness for practice within varied program areas.
• Support outreach efforts by engaging with community partners and resources to enhance client connectivity and service access.
• Document clinical activities accurately and promptly, maintaining compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
• Observe professional boundaries and ethical standards while demonstrating cultural humility in all client interactions.
• Contribute to interprofessional team meetings and case discussions to refine strategies and share insights effectively.
• Assist in data collection and program evaluation activities to support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• You must be currently enrolled in an accredited Clinical Master's Program and maintain good academic standing throughout the internship period.
• You must successfully pass a background check and provide professional references as part of the eligibility process.
• You must be at least 21 years of age at the start of the internship assignment.
• You must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable access to a vehicle as required by assigned duties and service areas.
• You must commit to a full-year, two-semester placement, as single semester opportunities are limited within most programs.
• You must be available to work 16-24 hours per week on a schedule that varies to meet program and client needs.
• You must complete all agency-mandated training, including orientation and any role-specific preparation before independent practice.
• You must demonstrate readiness to work within high-need populations and complex service contexts across multiple program sites.

This internship is structured as a full-year, two-semester opportunity, with most programs requiring consistent engagement across both semesters. Single semester placements are available only in limited situations and will be considered case by case. The schedule is variable and may shift based on client needs, program requirements, and supervisor availability, typically aligning with 16-24 hours per week. You should plan for flexibility in scheduling, including possible adjustments to support continuity of services.

This position is open to candidates working in or near the designated service areas, including Behavioral Health Services in the greater Lynn area, North Shore, and Concord; In-Home Therapy and Intensive Care Coordination in Lynn and Malden; PACT and ACCS Services across Lynn, the North Shore, Greater Acton, and Metro North regions; Homeless Services in Greater Boston; Juvenile Justice Programs in Brockton; Healthy Families in Holyoke and Worcester; Behavioral Health Community Partners in a remote capacity; and Developmental Disabilities and Acquired Brain Injury services in greater Woburn and Braintree. Travel requirements will be clarified during the interview process based on the selected site and role responsibilities.
