Key facts
What you'll do
Interview processes and candidate experiences assess technical fit for infrastructure roles, aligning with the company's AI infrastructure needs. Sourcing and closing senior engineering candidates in competitive markets for the AI and developer ecosystem strengthens the team's capability to execute ambitious product visions. Hiring managers partner with technical teams to support infrastructure and product initiatives through trust and strategic collaboration. Organization and data-driven habits scale recruiting systems as the company grows and hiring volume increases.
Requirements
Bring at least 5 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, ideally in high-growth startups or DevTool and AI companies where speed and autonomy are essential. Demonstrate proven ability to source and close strong engineering candidates in competitive markets when rapid iteration defines success. Operate comfortably in early-stage environments where ownership and rapid iteration define process building without predefined structures. Execute the full recruiting cycle including sourcing, outreach, interview design, candidate experience, and offer closure to maintain hiring momentum. Partner strategically with founders and leaders to align hiring plans with business objectives, ensuring role scorecards support long-term team performance.
Practical notes
The role is based in San Francisco with in-person expectations of four days on-site and one day remote. Team collaboration occurs with E2b alumni and cross-functional partners. Typical interview steps
People team interviews usually include a case scenario, a policy question, and behavioral rounds. Candidates may be asked to design an interview process or handle a sensitive employee situation. Confidentiality and judgment are tested throughout. Structured answers with empathy land best. Interviewers often test how you handle sensitive information and disagreement. Framing answers around policy, fairness, and company values works well.
Good to know
Understanding technical profiles and hiring signals is central to roles in developer and AI ecosystems. Early-stage environments demand speed, autonomy, and ownership to build processes from minimal structure. Infrastructure teams work with companies that produce agent tools and runtime platforms. Successful technical recruiting combines relationship building, data-driven operations, and end-to-end lifecycle management. General knowledge of developer tools, technical hiring signals, and AI infrastructure roles supports effectiveness in this type of position.
Questions to ask
Good questions to ask the employer in the interview: what does success look like in the first six months, how is the team structured, what is the current biggest challenge, and how are decisions made. Asking about growth paths and the review process is also well received. Employers expect questions, and good ones show preparation.
Career growth
People careers grow from coordinator to generalist, manager, and director levels. Recruiters can move into talent leadership. HR partners can move into people operations leadership. Business acumen becomes more important at each level. People careers reward breadth across recruitment, development, and operations. Experience with tools such as HRIS and ATS systems helps at every level.
