What you'll do
- Develop and implement quality management systems that align with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish quality metrics and monitor performance against these benchmarks.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations for non-conformities and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Train and mentor staff on quality assurance practices and procedures, fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on quality performance to senior management, highlighting trends and areas requiring attention.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that incoming materials meet quality specifications and standards.
- Manage customer complaints related to quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality management practices to continuously enhance the quality program.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement initiatives and promote best practices across the organization.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality processes, audits, and compliance activities for internal and external review.
- Support the development of quality-related training programs to enhance employee understanding and engagement in quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Proven track record of implementing quality management systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and other relevant quality certifications.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Experience in conducting audits and managing compliance with quality standards.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools, including statistical analysis software.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Nice to have
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ Certified Quality Manager).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
- Familiarity with construction materials and processes.
- Previous experience in a regional or multi-site quality management role.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the construction industry.
