About the role
You are the operational backbone of the people team, owning the full lifecycle of employee journeys from day one to day off. You will design and execute the day to day mechanics of onboarding and offboarding so that new colleagues can focus on building the future of embodied AI. This role requires you to be the trusted first point of contact for questions large and small, translating complex policies into clear, simple guidance. You will own sensitive employee data with integrity, ensuring that every record, process, and interaction meets the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. You will continuously refine workflows, using feedback and metrics to improve the employee experience as the company scales rapidly. This is a hands on role where your process building and execution excellence directly determines how seamless and welcoming Dyna Robotics feels to every team member. You will work closely with founders and cross functional partners to align people operations with business priorities and long term strategy.

What you'll do
Onboarding and offboarding
- Run onboarding end to end, coordinating new hire paperwork, equipment procurement, account provisioning, and first day logistics so that team members arrive ready to contribute immediately.
- Execute offboarding with the same level of care, handling exit paperwork, equipment returns, system deprovisioning, and exit interviews while protecting company data and preserving relationships.
- Analyze and refine onboarding and offboarding workflows continuously, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements that scale reliably as the company grows.
Employee lifecycle and records
- Process people changes accurately and on time, including promotions, internal transfers, compensation updates, and role reclassifications.
- Maintain clean, secure, and compliant employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness at all times.
- Interpret and apply company policy and employment law to documentation and processes, mitigating risk and ensuring consistent compliance.
- Administer required training programs, such as harassment prevention, safety, and compliance, tracking completion and follow up where necessary.
Employee support
- Act as the first point of contact for employees, fielding questions on policies, benefits, payroll, time and attendance, and any other People related topics.
- Build and maintain internal resources, FAQs, and process documentation to make answers easy to find and encourage effective self service.
- Coordinate with benefits providers, payroll partners, and legal counsel to resolve employee inquiries and update internal guidance as policies evolve.
- Monitor people metrics and HR processes, providing timely reports and insights that help leadership understand workforce trends and operational health.
- Partner with recruiters to coordinate interview logistics, offer coordination, and new starter communication to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
Requirements
- Bring 1 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a similar coordinator role managing complex administrative workflows.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, managing multiple processes and deadlines concurrently without dropping any balls.
- Show high attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive employee data, confidential information, and critical documentation.
- Exhibit comfort with ambiguity and a builder's mindset, proactively creating processes where none exist and improving them over time.
- Prove proficiency with HRIS platforms and G Suite, along with general tech savviness and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and speech, adapting your style for different audiences across the organization.
- Work effectively in an onsite role, collaborating in person with cross functional teams in a fast paced startup environment.
- Respect employment law and company policy, ensuring that all HR practices are consistent, fair, and legally sound.
Nice to have
- Startup experience navigating rapid growth, high change, and evolving priorities.
- Hands on experience with platforms such as Ashby, Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR, or similar HR technology stacks.
- Experience working with a Professional Employer Organization or managing relationships with PEO vendors.
Practical notes
This role is based onsite in Redwood City, California, and requires full time presence on site. Hybrid and remote arrangements are not available for this position. Flexibility is required, including willingness to work extended hours during periods of high hiring volume or approaching deadlines.
