What you'll do

Develop and maintain scalable back-end services using modern programming languages and frameworks, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring seamless functionality and a cohesive user experience.
Design and implement APIs that facilitate communication between different software components, ensuring data integrity and security.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to identify and resolve issues, enhancing overall software quality and user satisfaction.
Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, applying relevant knowledge to improve existing systems and processes.
Document development processes, code changes, and technical specifications to maintain clear communication within the team and facilitate knowledge sharing.
Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows, suggesting tools and methodologies that enhance efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and marketing, to ensure that the final product aligns with user needs and business goals.
Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Back End or Full Stack Engineer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects demonstrating your technical capabilities.
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby, along with experience in relevant frameworks like Node.js, Django, or Ruby on Rails.
Solid understanding of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with data modeling and optimization.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and experience in collaborative development environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Trello.

Nice to have

Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and experience in deploying applications in a cloud environment.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Experience with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular, to facilitate collaboration with front-end teams.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
