About the role
You will own the end-to-end performance of our paid media portfolio, translating business objectives into scalable acquisition strategies that respect user privacy. You will manage high-impact campaigns across search, social, and app install channels, balancing aggressive growth targets with strict adherence to our privacy-first principles. You will design and run rigorous incrementality tests to prove channel impact and optimize budget allocation with disciplined measurement. You will lead creative testing initiatives that continuously refresh messaging and assets to combat performance decay and unlock new scale opportunities. You will collaborate closely with product and analytics partners to model unit economics, forecast outcomes, and refine go-to-market approaches. You will own the strategic oversight of key channels such as Google Ads, Apple Ads, and paid social to maximize efficient user growth. You will communicate complex recommendations clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment and rapid execution. You will champion the idea that privacy-respecting advertising is not a constraint but a competitive advantage that drives sustainable growth.

What you'll do
- Scale and optimize app acquisition campaigns across Google, Microsoft, and Apple ad platforms while improving efficiency and unit economics as volume increases.
- Launch new channel tests and measure incremental lift using aggregate measurement methods to validate performance and guide investment decisions.
- Execute in-market tests for new creative and messaging to improve app install conversion rates and prevent performance decay.
- Own a portfolio of existing channels including Google ads, paid social, and app install campaigns with the goal of efficiently scaling profitable advertising.
- Design and run incrementality tests such as geo holdouts, lift studies, and PSA/ghost ads to validate true channel impact.
- Apply advanced analytical abilities to model app economics including payback, LTV, and scenario planning across spend and volume curves.
- Develop and maintain an always-on creative testing pipeline that consistently ships new concepts to unlock incremental scale.
- Ideate and problem-solve to deliver creative solutions that drive profitable user growth while aligning with privacy-respecting practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define hypotheses, set measurement guardrails, and coordinate execution of high-priority marketing initiatives.
- Communicate recommendations and rationale clearly through written and verbal channels to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Use strong judgment to prioritize projects and allocate resources based on data insights, risk, and potential impact.
- Maintain strict compliance with platform policies and legal requirements related to advertising and data usage.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for testing and differentiation.
- Document processes, results, and learnings to build institutional knowledge and enable continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in digital advertising roles with 2+ years of experience in marketing consumer apps preferred.
- Hands-on expertise standing up and managing paid digital advertising programs (Google Ads, Apple Ads, etc.) as well as familiarity with non-digital paid media management (CTV, TV, etc.).
- Demonstrated track record of profitably scaling app install growth programs while improving efficiency and unit economics as volume materially scales.
- Ability to execute highly complex and ambiguous projects, working across business strategy and marketing tactics.
- Experience designing and running incrementality tests (geo holdouts, lift studies, PSA/ghost ads) to validate true channel impact and guide investment decisions.
- Advanced analytical abilities, including modeling app economics (payback, LTV), data analysis, scenario planning, and projecting campaign outcomes across spend and volume curves.
- Track record of running creative testing as an always-on pipeline, consistently shipping new concepts to prevent performance decay and unlock incremental scale.
- Passion for ideating and problem solving to deliver creative solutions for profitable user growth.
- Excellent communication skills - you can clearly articulate recommendations and rationale, whether verbal or written.
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations and advertising policies relevant to digital marketing in multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to make decisions based on limited or imperfect data.
- Commitment to ethical marketing practices and alignment with a privacy-respecting company culture.
- Willingness to mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the marketing function.
